Yo! Are you looking for an unforgettable way to engage young people in Berlin? Our graffiti youth projects offer more than just a painting lesson; they provide an immersive dive into the heart of Berlin's urban culture. Since the fall of the Wall, Berlin has been the undisputed street art capital of Europe, and we’re here to help your youth group leave their own mark. Whether you're a youth centre, a social worker, or an educator, our workshops are designed to boost confidence, foster teamwork, and give kids a creative outlet they’ll actually enjoy. With professional artists leading the way, we turn a blank wall into a vibrant canvas of self-expression right here in the Mauerpark or Kreuzberg vicinity.

The experience
Why choose a graffiti project for your next youth initiative in Berlin? It's about more than just paint; it's about empowerment. Here’s why it works:
- Boosts Self-Esteem: Seeing a massive mural they helped create gives young people a huge sense of accomplishment.
- Team Building: Collaboration is key to a great mural—kids learn to share space and ideas.
- Cultural Awareness: We explore Berlin's unique street art history, from the 80s to today.
- Safe Environment: We provide a legal, controlled space for kids to experiment with a medium they are naturally curious about.
- Professional Guidance: Our artists aren't just talented; they're great at mentoring and connecting with young people.
- Flexibility: No upfront payment and backup artists available, so your project always goes ahead as planned.

Step by step
- Intro & History: We start with a cool look at the origins of graffiti, specifically focusing on Berlin's legendary Wall and how street art evolved here.
- Safety Brief: Before touching a can, everyone gets kitted out in suits, gloves, and masks while learning the 'golden rules' of spray safety.
- Sketching Session: Participants grab paper and markers to brainstorm their tags and designs, learning about letter structure and 'flow'.
- Can Control: We head to the wall to practice basic techniques like dots, lines, and fades to get a feel for the pressure of the nozzle.
- Outline: Time to go big! Under the guidance of our pros, the group starts sketching their main design onto the wall using light colours.
- Fill-in: The fun part! The youth use a variety of colours to fill in their work, learning about colour theory and blending techniques along the way.
- Second Outline & Highlights: We add the 'power-lines' and highlights that make the graffiti pop off the wall and look professional.
- Final Touches & Photos: We clean up the edges, add those final details, and take group photos of the incredible new mural.
- Evaluation: A quick chat about what we learned and a celebratory look at the finished masterpiece.
Good to know
- Duration: Usually 2 to 3 hours, but we can adapt for full-day intensive sessions.

Local culture
Street art in Berlin
Berlin isn't just a city; it's a living gallery. From the historic East Side Gallery to the hidden gems in RAW-Gelände, graffiti is part of the city's DNA. Our youth projects tap into this local heritage, showing kids that street art is a legitimate form of communication and community building. We teach them about the distinction between vandalism and public art, encouraging a respect for their city’s architecture. By walking through districts like Neukölln or Friedrichshain, the kids see how art can revitalise a neighbourhood, and then they get to contribute to that vibe themselves. It’s an authentic Berlin experience that connects them to the pulse of their hometown.
