How long does a typical graffiti workshop for secondary schools last?

Most sessions for secondary school students in Berlin last between 2 and 3 hours. This timeframe allows enough room for a comprehensive introduction to street art history, a safety briefing, technique practice, and the final creation of a large-scale mural. If you have a specific school schedule to stick to, we can easily adapt the duration to fit your lesson blocks or afternoon activity slots.

Is the graffiti workshop safe for teenagers?

Absolutely. Safety is our main priority during every workshop. we provide high-quality protective gear, including FFP2 or FFP3 masks, gloves, and protective suits to keep clothes clean. Our professional artists are trained to supervise groups and ensure that spray cans are used responsibly. We also choose well-ventilated outdoor locations or legal graffiti walls across Berlin to ensure a safe environment for everyone involved.

What should students wear and bring to the workshop?

Students should wear comfortable clothing that they don't mind getting a little bit of paint on, just in case. While we provide full protective suits and gloves, accidents can happen! Sturdy, closed-toe shoes are also a must. We provide all the professional-grade spray cans, caps, and safety equipment, so there is no need for the school or the students to purchase any extra materials.

What is the minimum and maximum group size?

We are incredibly flexible with group sizes. Whether you have a small art club of 10 students or an entire year group of 100+, we can accommodate you. For larger groups, we simply bring in more of our professional artist instructors and set up multiple stations to ensure every student gets plenty of individual attention and hands-on spray time. Size is never an issue for us!

Do students need any previous art experience?

No prior artistic skill is required at all! Our workshops are designed to be inclusive and fun for everyone, regardless of their drawing ability. We start with the absolute basics, teaching simple techniques that allow even the most hesitant students to create something they are proud of. It’s a great way to build confidence and show that 'art' isn't just about traditional sketching.

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

We have various backup plans for the unpredictable Berlin weather. Many of our partner locations have sheltered areas where we can continue the workshop even if it rains. If the forecast looks truly terrible, we can often reschedule the session or move the activity to a suitable indoor hall using low-odour water-based sprays, depending on the venue's permission. We always ensure the workshop goes ahead safely.

How does the payment process work for schools?

We pride ourselves on being a hassle-free service for schools. You don't need to pay anything upfront when you book your Berlin graffiti experience. We believe in the quality of our workshops, so you only pay the full amount via invoice after the session has been successfully completed and the students have enjoyed their creative day. It keeps the process simple and risk-free for your department.
