Do the participants need any previous art experience?

Absolutely! No prior artistic experience is needed to join our youth projects in Madrid. Our professional graffiti artists are experts at teaching the basics to beginners. We start with simple lines and shapes, gradually building up to more complex 'pieces'. The focus is on having fun, expressing yourself, and learning something new in a supportive, high-energy environment. Everyone leaves with something they can be proud of!

Is the graffiti workshop safe for teenagers?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide all necessary protective gear, including high-quality masks, gloves, and disposable overalls to keep clothes clean. Our workshops take place in well-ventilated outdoor areas or dedicated street art zones. Furthermore, our instructors are experienced in managing groups and ensure that all spray equipment is used responsibly and safely throughout the entire session.

How long does a typical youth project session last?

Standard youth workshops usually last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a proper introduction, technique practice, and the creation of a final masterpiece. If you are looking for a longer-term project, such as a multi-day mural project for a youth centre, we can certainly arrange that! We are flexible and can adapt the duration to fit your specific schedule.

What materials are included in the workshop price?

We provide everything! Your booking includes all premium spray paint cans in a huge variety of colours, protective gear (masks, gloves, suits), and the 'canvas' (whether that is a wall, boards, or individual canvases). We also bring caps (nozzles) for different spray widths and all the necessary cleaning supplies. You just need to show up in comfortable clothes and bring your enthusiasm!

Where in Madrid do the workshops take place?

In Madrid, we have several preferred legal street art locations where we regularly host workshops. These are vibrant, creative spaces perfect for inspiration. However, if you have a specific location in mind—like a school yard, a youth club wall, or a private event space—we can often come to you! Just let us know your preference when you request a quote, and we will check the logistics.

What are the benefits of graffiti for youth groups?

Graffiti is a fantastic tool for youth development! It encourages teamwork, boosts self-esteem through creative achievement, and provides a positive outlet for self-expression. It also teaches patience, planning, and respect for public spaces by focusing on 'legal' street art. Many youth leaders find it's the perfect way to engage teenagers who might not connect with traditional sports or academic activities.

Do we need to pay in advance for the workshop?

We believe in a stress-free booking process. You don't need to pay anything upfront to secure your date. Payment is typically handled after the workshop is completed, ensuring you are 100% satisfied with the experience. We accept various payment methods and can provide all necessary invoicing for youth organisations, schools, or NGOs. It’s all about making it easy for you to get creative!

Step by step

The warm-up: We start with a quick introduction to graffiti culture and a safety briefing to get everyone ready.
Sketching ideas: Participants grab paper and markers to brainstorm their tags and designs before touching the cans.
First sprays: We head to the wall to learn basic techniques like 'fading', 'outlining', and 'filling' with professional guidance.
Concept development: The group works together to decide on a central theme or a large-scale mural design.
Action time: Everyone gets their own space or section of the mural to bring their creative vision to life with spray paint.
Refining details: Our artists help the youth add highlights, shadows, and those final 'wow' details that make the art pop.
The big reveal: We take a group photo with the finished masterpiece—the perfect souvenir of a creative day in Madrid!

Local culture

Madrid isn't just about the Prado Museum; it’s one of Europe’s most exciting hubs for contemporary urban art. Walking through neighbourhoods like Lavapiés or La Latina, you'll see how street art has transformed the city into an open-air gallery. Our workshops tap into this local energy, encouraging youth to contribute to Madrid's legendary creative spirit in a legal and constructive way.

Fun Fact: Madrid is home to the 'Muelle' style, a legendary form of graffiti tagging that originated right here in the 80s! It’s an iconic part of the city’s underground history that we love to share with our students.
