Is the graffiti workshop safe for teenagers and children?

Safety is our top priority for youth projects in Las Palmas. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls. Our professional artists conduct a thorough safety briefing before any spray cans are touched. We only use professional-grade paints in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially designated legal walls, ensuring a secure environment where young people can focus entirely on their creativity without risks.

Do the participants need previous art experience?

Not at all! Our Las Palmas workshops are designed for all skill levels, from total beginners to those who already sketch in their notebooks. Our artists guide the group through basic techniques like 'lining' and 'filling' before moving on to more complex styles. We focus on the process and having fun, ensuring everyone walks away feeling like a true street artist, regardless of their starting point.

What materials are included in the workshop?

We provide everything needed for a successful street art session in Gran Canaria. This includes a wide variety of premium spray paint colours, caps (nozzles) for different effects, protective clothing, and the canvas or wall space itself. You just need to make sure the participants wear comfortable clothes and shoes that they don't mind getting a little bit of dust or paint on—creative work can get messy!

How long does a typical youth graffiti session last?

The duration is flexible to suit your project needs, but most youth workshops in Las Palmas last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This timeframe allows enough room for an introduction to graffiti history, a safety demonstration, sketching designs, and finally, the exciting part—painting the masterpiece! For larger community projects or festivals, we can also arrange full-day sessions or multi-day programmes.

What is the ideal group size for a youth project?

We are very flexible! Whether you have a small youth group or a large community centre project, we can accommodate you. Generally, we work with groups starting from 10 participants, but we can handle much larger crowds by bringing in additional backup artists. This ensures everyone gets personal attention and guidance. If you have a specific group size in mind, just let us know and we will scale accordingly.

What kind of organisations usually book these workshops?

Our youth projects are perfect for community centres, local councils, youth clubs, and non-profit organisations. Graffiti is a fantastic tool for social inclusion, team building, and boosting self-esteem. It transforms public spaces and gives young people a sense of pride and ownership over their environment. We've seen incredible results in Las Palmas when using art to engage 'at-risk' or disinterested youth.

Local culture

Las Palmas de Gran Canaria is a city where tradition meets a modern, urban edge. From the historic streets of Vegueta to the bustling surf vibes of Las Canteras, the city is a melting pot of culture. The local street art scene has exploded in recent years, with incredible murals adorning the hillsides and alleyways, reflecting the island's unique Atlantic identity. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know that some of the most famous street murals in the Canary Islands are found right here in Las Palmas, often created during the 'Muralia' projects to beautify the city's urban landscapes?

Our workshops tap into this local energy, encouraging participants to draw inspiration from the island's volcanic landscapes and vibrant maritime history. We don't just teach graffiti; we connect young people to the artistic heartbeat of Las Palmas. 🔥

Pricing

Our youth project workshops in Las Palmas are designed to be accessible and high-impact. Pricing typically ranges from €25 to €50 per person, depending on the number of participants, the duration of the project, and the materials required (e.g., individual canvases vs. a large mural wall).

We believe in transparency and flexibility, which is why we don't require any upfront payments. You only pay after the workshop is complete and everyone is happy! 🏆
