What is the minimum or maximum group size for a workshop?

For our onboarding workshops in Dortmund, we generally recommend a minimum of 5-10 people to keep the energy high. However, we are extremely flexible! Whether you are a small startup team or a massive corporate department, we can scale our artist team to ensure everyone gets hands-on time and expert guidance. For very large groups, we often work on a massive collaborative mural.

Do we need to bring our own spray paint or gear?

We provide everything you need to become a street artist for the day! This includes premium low-pressure spray cans (which are easier to control), high-quality nozzles, protective overalls, gloves, and respiratory masks. We also provide the 'canvas,' whether that is a mobile wall, individual boards, or a large communal surface. You just need to bring your enthusiasm and some old shoes!

Do my team members need to have artistic talent?

Absolutely not! Our workshops are designed specifically for beginners. Our professional Dortmund graffiti artists will guide you through the process step-by-step, from holding the can correctly to mastering complex shading. You will be amazed at what you can create in just a couple of hours, even if you have never picked up a spray can before in your life. Gladly, talent isn't a requirement—just a willingness to try!

What happens if it rains on the day of our event?

While we love the vibe of the Dortmund outdoors, we have great indoor options for when the German weather doesn't play ball. We use specialized low-odour paints for indoor sessions and ensure proper ventilation. If the weather is truly terrible and we planned for outdoors, we can usually pivot to an indoor location or use our backup artist system to reschedule without hassle.

Is spraying graffiti safe for my employees?

Safety is our top priority. We provide professional-grade FFP2 or FFP3 masks to ensure no one breathes in fumes, along with gloves and protective suits to keep your clothes clean. Our artists are highly experienced in managing group safety and will give a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a can. We make sure the environment is controlled, fun, and completely safe for everyone involved.

How long does a typical graffiti workshop last?

A standard onboarding or team-building session usually lasts between 1.5 and 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a warm-up, a demo of the basic techniques, the main creation phase, and a final 'gallery walk' where we celebrate everyone's work. If you have a specific schedule to stick to, we can easily tailor the duration to fit your event's timeline perfectly.

How does this help with team onboarding specifically?

A graffiti workshop is a fantastic icebreaker because it levels the playing field. Everyone is learning a new skill together, which encourages communication and mutual support. In Dortmund, we focus on the collaborative aspect—teams have to talk to each other to decide on colours, styles, and how their individual pieces fit into the larger brand story. It’s a powerful way to build trust and shared memories.

Local culture

Dortmund is a city that wears its industrial heart on its sleeve, and that 'can-do' attitude is exactly what we bring to our workshops. From the vibrant street art scenes in the Unionviertel to the iconic industrial backdrops of the Phoenix-West area, the city is a living gallery. We draw inspiration from Dortmund’s transformation from coal and steel to a hub of technology and culture. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know that Dortmund’s 'U-Tower' is not just a landmark but a symbol of the city's creative spirit? It was originally a brewery building and now houses the Center for Art and Creativity, making it the spiritual home of the local arts scene!

Pricing

Our workshop prices are as flexible as our art. Depending on the size of your crew and the specific setup you're after, prices typically range between €30 and €65 per person. This includes all materials, gear, and professional instruction.

We don't believe in one-size-fits-all, so we'll help you find the perfect balance for your budget. Plus, with our "no upfront payment" policy, you only pay after the fun is done!
