Is the graffiti workshop safe for people with special needs?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including FFP3 masks, gloves, and overalls. Our artists are trained to supervise participants closely, ensuring everyone uses the spray cans correctly. We also use low-odour, high-quality paints. If there are specific sensory sensitivities or mobility requirements, just let us know in advance so we can tailor the environment to be as comfortable as possible for everyone.

How long does a typical workshop last?

We are very flexible! While a standard session usually lasts about 2 hours, we can easily shorten or lengthen the workshop based on the group's attention span and energy levels. We can also include more frequent breaks or split the session into smaller segments. Our goal is to ensure everyone has a blast without feeling overwhelmed or rushed, making it a completely stress-free experience for everyone involved.

Do participants need any prior artistic experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Our professional street artists in Stuttgart guide the group through every single step, from holding the can to filling in colours. We focus on the joy of creation rather than technical perfection. We have techniques that allow everyone, regardless of their artistic 'talent' or physical dexterity, to produce a piece of art they can be truly proud of at the end.

Where in Stuttgart do the workshops take place?

Stuttgart has several fantastic legal graffiti locations, and we always aim for spots that are easily accessible. If you have a specific venue in mind, such as a care facility or a community centre with an outdoor area, we can often bring the workshop to you! We use mobile wooden panels or plastic sheeting to create a pop-up studio, ensuring the experience is convenient and comfortable for your specific group.

What is the minimum age for participation?

We generally recommend our workshops for participants aged 6 and up, but there is no upper age limit! Street art is a universal language that appeals to children, teenagers, and adults alike. For our special needs programmes, we focus more on the individual's ability to hold a spray can and their interest in the activity rather than a strict age bracket. We adapt our teaching style to suit the age of the group.

What should participants wear to the session?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a little bit of paint on. While we provide full protective overalls and gloves, graffiti can sometimes be a bit messy! It’s all part of the fun. In Stuttgart's variable weather, it's also a good idea to bring an extra layer if we are working outdoors. We provide everything else, including masks, paint, and canvases.

Local culture

Stuttgart is more than just the home of Mercedes-Benz; it’s a city with a deep-rooted appreciation for urban culture. From the legal walls at the Hall of Fame in Bad Cannstatt to the hidden murals in the Marienplatz area, the city breathes street art. Our workshops tap into this local spirit, giving participants a chance to feel like a real part of Stuttgart's creative community. We often draw inspiration from the city's unique mix of industrial heritage and lush greenery. 🌳

Fun Fact: Did you know that Stuttgart is home to one of Germany's oldest legal graffiti scenes? The city has supported street artists for decades, making it the perfect place to learn the craft in a safe and welcoming environment! 🏆
