Do the kids need any previous art experience?

No experience is needed at all! Our professional artists specialize in teaching beginners. We start with the basics—how to hold the spray can, how to control pressure, and how to create clean lines. By the time the summer camp session is over, even the youngest participants will have created something they are truly proud of. It’s all about building confidence and having a blast with a spray can in hand.

Is it safe for children to use spray paint?

Safety is our absolute priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls to keep clothes clean. Our spray paints are selected for safety, and all workshops take place in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially prepared indoor spaces. Our artists are experienced in supervising youth groups, ensuring that the creative process is both fun and completely safe for every camper involved.

What should the participants wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing comfortable 'old' clothes and sturdy shoes. Even though we provide protective overalls and gloves, graffiti can be a messy business, and paint has a way of finding its way onto sleeves or shoes! It's best to wear items you don't mind getting a little colourful. We’ll take care of all the professional equipment, so just bring your energy and a creative mindset.

How long does a typical graffiti session last?

Our summer camp activities in Salta usually last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives the group enough time to learn the history of street art, practice their techniques, and complete a final collaborative masterpiece. We find this timeframe is perfect for keeping energy levels high and focus sharp without the kids getting overtired. We can also adjust the duration to fit into your specific camp schedule.

Can the campers take their artwork home?

Absolutely! While we love creating large-scale murals on walls, we also offer workshops where kids can paint on individual canvases or boards. This means they get to take their very own piece of Salta street art home to hang on their bedroom wall. It’s a fantastic souvenir of their summer camp experience and a great way to remember the skills they learned with Graffitifun.

Do we come to you, or do you come to our camp?

We are very flexible! We can bring the workshop to your specific summer camp location in Salta, or we can arrange for the group to meet at one of our inspiring local street art spots. Whether you have an overgrown backyard, a school playground, or a dedicated community space, our team is fully mobile and comes prepared with all the necessary supplies to turn any venue into an urban art studio.

How does this help with team building for kids?

Our graffiti workshops are fantastic for building teamwork and communication. We often include a segment where the group must work together to create one giant mural. This requires them to plan their 'piece', share colours, and respect each other's creative space. It’s a brilliant way for campers to bond and learn that the best art often comes from collaboration and collective effort.

The experience

Why choose a Graffitifun workshop for your summer programme in Salta? It’s more than just painting; it’s an experience that stays with the kids long after the paint has dried. Here’s why we’re the go-to choice:

Boost Creativity: We break down barriers and show kids that there are no mistakes in art, only "happy accidents". 🚀
Hands-on Learning: Forget boring lectures; this is 100% active, tactile, and engaging from the first spray.
Authentic Artists: Our instructors aren't just teachers; they are active street artists who live and breathe this culture. 🎤
Safety First: We use top-tier protective gear and non-toxic methods to ensure everyone stays safe while getting creative.
No Stress Booking: With our "pay after" policy and backup artists, your camp schedule is always protected. 🏆
Team Spirit: Collective murals teach campers the value of working together toward a massive, colourful goal.

Step by step

Introduction & Safety: We kick things off with a warm welcome and a quick safety briefing, ensuring everyone knows how to use the gear properly.
Artist Demo: Our pro artists show off some basic spray can techniques, from 'fat caps' to 'skinny lines'.
Sketching the Vision: Campers grab paper and pencils to sketch out their ideas and choose their 'tag' or nickname.
First Sprays: Everyone heads to the practice wall or canvas to get a feel for the pressure and flow of the paint.
Colour Fill: Now for the fun part! We start filling in the large shapes with vibrant colours to make the designs pop.
Outlining: We teach the kids how to add sharp outlines to their work, giving it that authentic 'pro' graffiti look.
Highlights & Details: The final touches! We add 'shine' and 3D effects to bring the artwork to life.
The Big Reveal: We step back to admire the finished masterpiece and take plenty of photos for the memories.
Cleanup: We pack up the gear, leaving the site tidy while the campers celebrate their new street art skills!

Local culture

Salta isn't just about colonial architecture and stunning mountain views; it's a city with a growing pulse of urban creativity. From the murals found in the vibrant neighbourhoods to the hidden gems near San Bernardo Hill, the street art scene here is as diverse as the landscape itself. Our workshops draw inspiration from the local colours—the deep earthy reds and the bright Andean skies.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Salta is often called "La Linda" (The Beautiful)? We aim to add to that beauty by teaching the next generation of artists how to create respectful, stunning public art that honours the city's rich heritage while embracing modern urban culture. 🎨
