Do the kids need any prior drawing or art experience?

Not at all! Our summer camp activities are designed for complete beginners as well as those with some artistic flair. We start with the absolute basics—how to hold the can, how to control the pressure, and how to draw a straight line. By the end of the session, even those who thought they couldn't draw a stick figure will be amazed at the masterpiece they've created.

What should the participants wear and bring along?

We recommend wearing comfortable 'old' clothes and closed-toe shoes (sneakers are perfect). While we provide protective overalls and gloves, graffiti can occasionally be a bit messy, so it is best not to wear your brand-new designer gear. We provide everything else: professional spray paint, caps, canvases, masks, and inspiration boards. Just bring your energy and a bottle of water!

If the São Paulo weather doesn't cooperate, we usually have access to covered outdoor areas or indoor spaces where we can use water-based, low-odour spray paints or transition to sketching and 'blackbook' techniques. We also have backup artists available, so your scheduled workshop will go ahead rain or shine. We never want to miss a chance to create!

Step by step

Introduction & safety: We kick things off with a high-energy intro to graffiti culture and a full safety briefing on how to use our professional gear.
Concept sketching: Kids grab markers and paper to brainstorm their ideas, learning about 'lettering' and 'character' design before touching a can.
Can control 101: Under the guidance of our pros, participants learn the 'muscle memory' of spraying—adjusting distance, speed, and finger pressure.
Outline practice: Time to hit the wall! We practice basic shapes and lines to get everyone comfortable with the scale of street art.
Fill-in & colours: This is where the magic happens. We teach blending, fading, and how to choose vibrant colour palettes that pop.
