The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your Warsaw summer camp? It’s more than just painting on a wall; it’s a boost of adrenaline and a massive confidence builder for young people. Here is why our sessions are the highlight of the summer: 🔥

  • Unleash hidden talent: Many kids who struggle with traditional art find their voice through the bold, free-form nature of graffiti.
  • Teamwork in action: Our collaborative murals require campers to communicate, plan, and execute a large-scale project together. 🤝
  • Safe exploration: We provide a legal and safe outlet for urban expression, teaching the difference between art and vandalism.
  • The ultimate "cool" factor: Let's be honest—nothing beats telling your friends you spent the summer learning from a real graffiti artist! 😎
  • Take-home memories: Every participant creates something unique, giving them a physical souvenir of their summer in Warsaw.

Step by step

  1. Introduction & safety briefing: We kick things off by meeting the group and explaining how to use the equipment safely. We hand out the masks and suits—it's the first 'photo op' of the day!
  2. The history of spray art: Our artists give a quick, energetic talk about the roots of graffiti and how it evolved from the streets of NYC into a global art movement.
  3. Mastering the 'can control': Before hitting the wall, kids learn the basics. How to hold the can, how much pressure to apply, and how to create thin lines versus thick splashes.
  4. Sketching the concept: Participants grab markers and paper to plan their 'tag' or design. This helps them visualise their masterpiece before the paint starts flying.
  5. First layers & filling: Now for the fun part! Everyone moves to the canvas to apply their base colours and fill in their shapes, learning the 'top-to-bottom' technique.
  6. Outlining & detailing: This is where the art pops! We teach the kids how to add sharp outlines, 3D effects, and "highlights" to make their work look professional.
  7. The final flourish: Participants add 'dots and stars'—the signature graffiti finishing touches that bring the whole piece to life.
  8. Group photo & gallery walk: We finish by admiring everyone's work, taking epic group photos, and celebrating the creative energy of the day.

Local culture

Street art in Warsaw

Warsaw has a fascinating relationship with street art. From the historic murals in Praga to the ever-changing "Hall of Fame" at the Służewiec horse racing track, the city is a living museum of urban expression. Our workshops tap into this local spirit, giving kids a chance to feel like part of the city's modern cultural fabric. We often draw inspiration from the bold, graphic styles found around the Vistula riverbanks, where the city's youth culture truly comes alive during the summer months.

Fun fact: Warsaw is home to one of the longest legal graffiti walls in Europe, stretching for over a kilometre! It's a place where artists from all over Poland come to showcase their talent. ✨
