How it works

  1. The warm-up: We kick things off with a brief intro to the culture of street art and the local Cochabamba scene.
  2. Gear up: Safety first! Everyone gets kitted out in protective masks, gloves, and overalls to stay clean.
  3. Master the can: Our pro artists demonstrate the 'nozzle-know-how'—learning how distance and speed change your lines.
  4. First sketches: Participants practice their tags and 'throws' on a temporary practice wall to build confidence.
  5. Concept design: We help the kids sketch out their final masterpiece on paper before moving to the canvas.
  6. The main event: It's time to paint! Students apply their new skills to create a vibrant, multi-layered artwork.
  7. Fine-tuning: We show you how to add those professional 'highlights' and 'shadows' that make the art pop.
  8. The big reveal: Everyone steps back to admire the group's work and take some epic photos for the 'gram.

Frequently asked questions

Do the kids need any prior art experience to join?

Absolutely! Our Cochabamba street art sessions are designed specifically for beginners. Our pro artists start with the basics, teaching you how to hold the can, control the pressure, and create smooth lines. You don't need to be 'good at drawing' to create something spectacular. We focus on the 'fun' in Graffitifun, ensuring every student leaves with a piece of art they are genuinely proud of. We'll guide you every step of the way!

Is the spray paint safe for children and teenagers?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality, low-odour spray paint and full protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls to keep clothes clean. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated outdoor or semi-outdoor spaces in Cochabamba. Additionally, our artists are experienced in supervising young creators, ensuring everyone follows safety protocols while having a blast. It’s a controlled, professional environment where creativity can truly run wild without any risks.

What should my child wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing comfortable 'old' clothes and closed-toe shoes. While we provide protective overalls and gloves, graffiti is a messy business, and a stray splash of paint is always a possibility! It’s best to wear things you don’t mind getting a little colourful. Since Cochabamba's weather can be sunny, bringing a hat and some sunscreen for our outdoor sessions is also a great idea. We provide all the professional art supplies you'll need.

How long does a typical holiday session last?

A standard school holiday workshop usually lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. This gives us enough time to cover the history of street art, practice basic techniques on plastic walls, and then complete a final masterpiece on a professional canvas. We find this duration is the 'sweet spot' for keeping energy levels high and focus sharp. If you have a larger group or want a more intensive masterclass, we can certainly extend the timing to suit your needs.

Do we need to bring our own spray cans or masks?

Not at all! We provide everything required for a world-class graffiti experience. This includes professional-grade spray cans in a huge variety of vibrant colours, caps (nozzles) for different effects, protective masks, gloves, and canvases. We even set up the workspace with boards or foil. You just need to bring your enthusiasm and perhaps a few ideas for what you’d like to paint! We take care of all the messy setup and the cleanup afterwards.

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

In the rare event of heavy rain, we have a network of backup indoor locations or covered areas in Cochabamba to ensure the fun doesn't stop. Because we have multiple artists on standby, we almost never have to cancel a session. If the weather looks particularly bleak, we will coordinate with you in advance to move the workshop to a sheltered spot where the paint can dry properly and the kids stay comfortable.
