Is the workshop environment safe for participants with sensory sensitivities?

Absolutely! We take safety and comfort very seriously. We use low-odour professional spray paint and provide all necessary protective gear, including high-quality masks, gloves, and overalls. Our artists are trained to maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring that the environment remains calm and focused throughout the entire creative process. Safety briefings are always tailored to the specific needs of the group.

What should participants wear to the graffiti session?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a little bit of paint on. Although we provide protective overalls and gloves, graffiti can sometimes be a messy business! Closed-toe shoes are a must for safety. If the workshop is outdoors in Aveiro, don't forget a hat or some sunscreen, as we want everyone to stay comfortable while they work on their masterpieces.

Do we need any prior art experience to enjoy the workshop?

Not at all! Our Special Needs Program is designed for all skill levels, especially beginners. Our professional street artists are experts at breaking down techniques into simple, manageable steps. We focus on the joy of creation and personal expression rather than technical perfection. Whether it is your first time holding a spray can or you have some artistic experience, we will guide you every step of the way.

How long does a typical workshop last?

Our standard workshops for special needs groups typically last between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. This duration is usually the 'sweet spot' for maintaining high energy and focus without causing fatigue. However, we are completely flexible. If your group requires a shorter session with more breaks or a longer, more relaxed pace, we can easily customise the schedule to suit your specific requirements.

Can you accommodate participants with limited mobility?

We pride ourselves on our inclusive approach. Our staff are experienced in working with individuals with various physical and cognitive needs. We can adapt our tools—using lighter cans or different nozzles—and adjust our teaching methods to ensure everyone can participate. Our goal is to make street art accessible to everyone in the Aveiro community, regardless of their physical or mental abilities.

Do I need to pay upfront to secure a booking?

No, there is no need for upfront payment when you book with Graffitifun. We believe in building trust with our clients. You only pay after the workshop has been successfully completed. This gives you peace of mind and ensures that you are 100% satisfied with the experience we provided for your group in Aveiro before any transaction takes place.

What happens if there is bad weather or an artist is unavailable?

We have a dedicated team of professional artists and a reliable network of backup staff. This means we are highly resilient to unforeseen circumstances. If an artist falls ill, we have a backup ready to step in, ensuring your event goes ahead as planned. In the rare event of extreme weather, we will work closely with you to find an indoor alternative or reschedule to a time that works best for you.

Lokale Kultur

Aveiro is much more than just its iconic canals and salt pans; it is a city that breathes a quiet, creative energy. From the vibrant Art Nouveau architecture lining the water to the contemporary murals tucked away in the Beira-Mar district, the city is a living gallery. Our workshops tap into this local spirit, encouraging participants to draw inspiration from the colourful tiles (azulejos) and the traditional patterns of the region. We often hold our sessions in accessible spaces that celebrate Aveiro's unique atmosphere, ensuring that the local street art culture is inclusive for all. It’s about bringing the bold, modern world of graffiti into harmony with the historic charm of our city, creating a bridge between tradition and contemporary self-expression.

Preise

We aim to keep our inclusive workshops affordable and accessible for community groups and families in Aveiro. Prices typically range from €20 to €45 per person. This variation depends on the total number of participants, the amount of materials required, and whether you want to work on a large temporary wall or take home your own individual canvases.

Because every group has unique requirements, we don't believe in a one-size-fits-all price tag. We want to ensure you get the best possible setup for your specific needs.
