The experience

Choosing an anti-vandalism program means choosing a long-term solution for your community or business. We provide a bridge between the rebellious nature of street art and the professional standards of fine art. Here is why our Kinshasa workshops stand out:

  • Expert Mentorship: Learn from seasoned street artists who have mastered the craft and understand the local culture.
  • Social Impact: Reduce local vandalism cost by educating participants on legal outlets and respect for property.
  • Professional Gear: We use high-quality, low-pressure cans that are easier for beginners to control and produce professional results.
  • No Risk Booking: Our "pay after the workshop" policy means you can book with total confidence in the results.
  • Creative Freedom: Even within a structured "anti-vandalism" framework, we encourage individual expression and original ideas.
  • Mobile Setup: Whether you are in Gombe, Limete, or Ngaliema, we bring the entire art studio to your doorstep.

Step by step

  1. Introduction and ethics: We start with a talk about the history of graffiti and the vital difference between vandalism and street art.
  2. Safety briefing: Participants are fitted with protective gear and briefed on how to handle spray cans safely and effectively.
  3. Sketching the vision: Our artists help you translate your ideas onto paper, planning a design that communicates a positive message.
  4. Mastering the nozzle: You'll learn 'can control' – how to create thin lines, thick fills, and smooth gradients on a practice surface.
  5. Outline and structure: Under professional guidance, you'll begin sketching the main piece on the final canvas or wall.
  6. The filling process: This is where the colour comes in! Participants work together to fill the piece using professional techniques.
  7. Highlighting and detailing: We add the finishing touches, such as 3D effects, 'shines', and sharp outlines to make the art pop.
  8. Reflective discussion: We conclude by discussing how the creative process felt and how to continue making art legally in Kinshasa.

Local culture

Street art in Kinshasa

Kinshasa, the "Kin la Belle," is a global hub of African culture and music. From the bustling streets of Gombe to the vibrant markets of Matonge, the city’s visual landscape is constantly evolving. Our workshops tap into this local 'Kinois' spirit, drawing inspiration from the incredible murals found near the Palais du Peuple and the city's growing contemporary art scene. We understand the local challenges of tagging and unorganised graffiti, which is why our program is tailored to the specific urban context of Kinshasa. We celebrate the city's resilience and colour, encouraging participants to contribute to their neighbourhoods in a way that builds pride rather than detracting from the beauty of the Congolese capital.

Pricing

Our pricing is designed to be accessible for schools, NGOs, and corporate groups across Kinshasa. We offer flexible packages depending on the number of participants and the location of the event.

  • Individual pricing: Ranges from FC 50,000 to FC 120,000 per person.
  • Large groups: Significant discounts apply for community projects and large school groups.

Because every project in the DRC is unique—varying from small boards to large-scale wall murals—we always provide a bespoke estimate. Request a custom quote today to get a clear breakdown for your specific needs.
