The experience

Graffiti is a uniquely tactile and visual medium that offers incredible benefits for individuals with special needs. Unlike traditional painting, it involves large arm movements and immediate, vibrant results. Here is why you should choose our program in Kinshasa:

  • Sensory stimulation: The sound of the can, the feel of the spray, and the bright colours provide a rich sensory experience.
  • Fine & gross motor skill development: Operating the nozzle and moving along the wall helps improve coordination in a low-pressure environment.
  • Boosting confidence: Seeing a large-scale piece of art that they helped create gives participants a huge sense of accomplishment.
  • Social connection: Our workshops encourage teamwork and collaboration, helping to reduce social isolation.
  • No-risk booking: With our "pay after the workshop" policy and backup artist guarantee, your event is in safe hands.
  • Expert guidance: Our artists are not just talented painters; they are patient mentors who adapt to every individual's pace.

Step by step

  1. Initial consultation: Reach out to us to discuss the specific needs, group size, and abilities of your participants so we can tailor the session.
  2. Site selection: We choose a fully accessible location in Kinshasa or arrange to set up at your own facility.
  3. Introduction & safety: Our artists introduce themselves and help everyone get comfortable with their protective gear.
  4. Mastering the can: We start with simple exercises, showing how to hold the spray can and create basic shapes and lines.
  5. Design phase: Participants choose their favourite colours and start sketching out their ideas on the practice boards.
  6. Collaborative creation: Everyone works together on a large-scale mural, allowing for individual expression within a shared project.
  7. Refining details: Our artists help add the finishing touches, ensuring every participant feels proud of their contribution.
  8. Photo session & wrap-up: We take group photos with the final masterpiece before cleaning up the site.

Local culture

Street art in Kinshasa

Kinshasa is a city that breathes rhythm and art, from the vibrant markets of Gombe to the soulful murals found in the bustling streets of Matonge. The "Kinois" spirit is all about expression, and our workshops tap into this local heritage of storytelling through visuals. We don't just teach graffiti; we connect with the local street art culture that makes the DRC so unique. While we also host events in cities like Lubumbashi and Kisangani, there is a special creative spark in Kinshasa that makes these special needs programs truly transformative. Our local artists are proud to share their skills, helping to make the city's art scene more inclusive for every citizen.

Pricing

Our workshop pricing is designed to be as inclusive as our art. Costs typically range from FC50,000 to FC120,000 per person.

Please note that the final price depends on the group size, the duration of the session, and whether we come to your location or use one of ours in Kinshasa. We believe in transparency and fairness.
