Do I need any prior art experience to join an Edmonton workshop?

Absolutely! Our indoor party workshops in Edmonton are designed specifically for beginners. Our pro artists will guide you through everything from holding the can to master layering techniques. You don't need to be 'artistic' to have a blast; we focus on the process and the fun. By the end of the session, you'll be amazed at the masterpiece you've created on your own canvas.🎨

Is it safe to do graffiti workshops indoors?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality masks, gloves, and protective suits to keep your clothes clean and your lungs happy. We also use low-odour professional spray paint and ensure our indoor partner venues in Alberta have proper ventilation systems. Our instructors are trained to manage group safety so you can focus entirely on the creative 'vibe' without any worries.🛡️

What should I wear to my indoor graffiti party?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a little dusty, just in case! Even though we provide full-body protective gear (suits and gloves), it's best to leave the designer gear at home. Wear comfy shoes too, as you'll be standing and moving around quite a bit while you're crafting your mural masterpiece in the heart of Edmonton.👟

How long does a typical workshop session last?

Most of our indoor party sessions in Edmonton last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a thorough introduction, some practice runs on cardboard or practice walls, and then the final creation of your individual or group project. If you have a specific timeline for your event, just let us know and we can tailor the workshop duration to fit!⏳

Can we take our artwork home after the party?

Yes! One of the best parts of our Edmonton indoor workshops is that everyone gets to take their own canvas home. It’s a unique, hand-painted souvenir of your creative journey. If we are working on a giant collective mural, we can often arrange for it to be split up or photographed so everyone has a memory of the big project.🖼️

Are all the materials included in the workshop price?

Everything is included in the price! We provide the spray cans in a huge variety of colours, caps/nozzles, protective gear, canvases, and of course, the expert guidance of our professional graffiti artists. There are no hidden fees or extra costs for materials. You just bring your energy and creativity, and we handle all the logistics and cleanup!✨

Can the workshop be held at my own private location in Edmonton?

Of course! While we have amazing partner locations in Edmonton, we can also bring the party to you if your venue allows it. We use special floor coverings and plastic sheeting to ensure zero overspray or mess. As long as there is decent ventilation and enough space for your group to move around, we can turn almost any indoor space into a temporary street art studio.🏠

The experience

Zero pressure, high reward: You don't need to be an artist to leave with a canvas that looks incredible. 🏆
Weatherproof fun: Don't let the Edmonton winter stop the party; our indoor setups are warm and vibrant year-round. ❄️
Authentic tools: Use the same premium spray cans and caps that the pros use—no cheap "craft" versions here!
Professional vibes: Our artists aren't just teachers; they're active participants in the graffiti scene who love sharing their craft. 🎤
Total flexibility: We handle everything from the drop cloths to the cleanup, so you just show up and spray.
The ultimate souvenir: Everyone takes home a piece of art they actually made themselves—way better than a gift bag! 🎁

Step by step

Arrival and Gear Up: We start by getting everyone suited up in professional protective gear so your outfits stay fresh.
The History Lesson: Your pro artist gives a quick, high-energy intro into the world of street art and graffiti culture. 🔥
Master the Can: Learn the 'can control' basics—how to pull lines, create dots, and manage pressure like a pro.
Sketch Your Vision: Grab a marker and map out your design on the canvas before the paint starts flying.
The First Layer: Start filling in your 'blocks' of colour using the techniques you've just practiced.
Details and Outlines: This is where the magic happens! Add sharp outlines and flares to make your art pop. 🎨
Final Highlights: Add those professional touches like 3D effects and highlights that bring the piece to life.
The Big Reveal: We do a group walkthrough to celebrate everyone's work and take some epic photos. 📸
Take it Home: Let the paint dry for a few minutes, then take your custom masterpiece home to hang on your wall!

Local culture

Edmonton isn't just about the Oilers and the mall; it's a city with a rapidly growing and respected street art scene. From the stunning murals lining the Free Wall at the 109th Street underpass to the hidden gems in the Quarters District, YEG is a canvas for those who know where to look. We bring that local "Festival City" energy into every workshop, celebrating the RAW and authentic feel of Alberta's capital.

Fun Fact: Did you know Edmonton is home to "Rust Magic," an international mural festival that has transformed dozens of city walls into world-class art galleries? We draw inspiration from these massive works for your indoor session! 🏙️
