How long does a live painting session usually last?

A live painting performance in Honolulu typically lasts between 2 and 5 hours, depending on your event's schedule. Our artists are flexible; we can create a high-impact piece in a short burst or work on a more intricate mural that evolves throughout a marathon celebration. We'll coordinate with your timeline to ensure the 'big reveal' happens exactly when you want it to for maximum impact.

Is it safe to have live spray painting indoors?

Safety is our top priority! For indoor events in Hawaii, we use high-quality, low-odor, and non-toxic water-based spray paints or acrylic markers. These professional materials ensure there are no harsh fumes for your guests to worry about. If your event is outdoors, we use standard professional-grade paints that stand up to the tropical sun while maintaining vibrant colors.

Can my guests participate in the painting process?

Absolutely! We love it when guests get involved. While the artist handles the main masterpiece, we can set up a 'guest canvas' or a designated area where your attendees can grab a can (under our supervision) and add their own flair. It’s a fantastic way to make your Honolulu event interactive and give everyone a sense of creative ownership.

Does live painting create a mess at the venue?

Not at all. We come fully prepared with heavy-duty drop cloths, professional floor protection, and 'spray booths' if necessary to contain any overspray. Our goal is to leave your venue exactly as we found it—except for the beautiful new piece of art we’ve created for you! We handle all the setup and the teardown efficiently.

What happens to the artwork once the event is over?

The beauty of live painting is that you get to keep the final product! Whether it's a large-scale canvas, a wooden panel, or even a vehicle, the artwork is yours to display in your office, home, or to auction off for charity. It serves as a permanent, vibrant memento of your special day in Honolulu.

Can we choose the theme or style of the painting?

While we specialize in vibrant graffiti and urban styles, our artists are incredibly versatile. We can incorporate your company logo, specific brand colors, floral Hawaiian themes, or even abstract designs that match your event's aesthetic. During the booking process, we'll discuss your vision and create a concept that perfectly aligns with your theme.

How far in advance should I book an artist for my event?

We recommend booking at least 3 to 4 weeks in advance, especially for weekend events or during the busy holiday season in Hawaii. However, we have a deep roster of talented backup artists, so even if you have a last-minute request, give us a shout! We’ll always do our best to find a professional artist to make your event shine.

Local culture

Honolulu is a city where traditional culture meets cutting-edge urban flair. From the world-famous murals of the Kaka’ako district to the hidden gems in Chinatown, street art is woven into the fabric of the island. Our live painting performances pay homage to this local creative explosion. We understand the 'Aloha spirit' and translate it into bold, spray-painted visuals that resonate with locals and visitors alike. Whether we're incorporating elements of the lush Hawaiian landscape or the sleek modernity of downtown, our art feels right at home in the 808. 🌺

Fun Fact: Did you know that the POW! WOW! Hawaii festival (now Worldwide Walls) started right here in Honolulu? It helped put our city on the global map as a premier destination for street art lovers! 🤙
