What exactly is live painting and why should I book it?

Live painting is an incredible way to entertain guests or draw a crowd at your Rotterdam event. Our professional artists create a large-scale piece of street art from scratch right before your eyes. It adds a dynamic, changing element to the atmosphere and serves as a major talking point. Whether it's a corporate brand launch or a local festival, the 'wow factor' of watching a masterpiece emerge from a spray can is unbeatable.

What kind of surfaces can you paint on during the event?

We are extremely flexible when it comes to surfaces! Commonly, we use large wooden panels, professional-grade canvases, or even temporary 'plastic wrap' walls if you want something lightweight. If you have a specific vehicle, shipping container, or permanent wall in your Rotterdam office that needs a makeover, we can do that too! We always discuss the best surface options during the planning phase to ensure the best result.

Is it safe to do graffiti live painting indoors?

Safety and cleanliness are our top priorities. We use low-odour, professional spray paints wherever possible, and for indoor events in Rotterdam, we can set up specialized ventilation or use water-based paint markers to keep fumes to a minimum. We also use high-quality drop cloths and protective screening to ensure that not a single drop of paint ends up where it shouldn't. Your venue will stay spotless!

Can you incorporate our company logo or a specific theme?

Absolutely! One of the biggest advantages of live painting is its ability to showcase your brand. We can integrate your company colours, logos, slogans, or specific themes into the artwork. It’s a fantastic form of 'organic marketing' as guests often take photos and videos of the process to share on social media, giving your brand extra exposure during and after the event.

How long does a live painting session usually take?

The duration is entirely up to you and the scale of the project. Most live painting performances in Rotterdam last between 2 and 6 hours, matching the flow of your event. We can work quickly for a high-impact 'speed painting' vibe or take a more detailed approach over the course of a full-day festival. We’ll coordinate the timing so the 'big reveal' happens exactly when you want it.

Do I need to pay in advance to secure my date?

No upfront payment is required when you book with Graffitifun! We believe in the quality of our work and want you to feel completely confident. You simply pay after the workshop or performance is completed. This stress-free approach is part of our 100% satisfaction guarantee. We also have backup artists ready to go, so you never have to worry about a last-minute cancellation.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Rotterdam is arguably the street art capital of the Netherlands. From the iconic murals of the Witte de Withstraat to the legal graffiti zones near the Maasboulevard, this city breathes creativity. Our artists are deeply rooted in this local scene, drawing inspiration from the city's 'can-do' mentality and its bold, modern architecture. When we perform live painting here, we’re not just adding paint to a board; we’re adding to the storied history of a city that rebuilt itself with art and innovation. 🏗️

Fun Fact: Did you know Rotterdam is home to one of the longest graffiti 'Halls of Fame' in Europe? The city officially embraces the culture, making it the perfect backdrop for a professional street art performance!
