What exactly is live painting and how does it work?

Live painting is a dynamic performance where our artists create a unique artwork from scratch right in front of your guests. It’s highly interactive and visual, serving as both entertainment and a conversation starter. Unlike a static mural, the 'act' of creation is the main event, keeping your audience engaged throughout the process. It’s perfect for adding a bit of creative energy to product launches or office parties in Utrecht.

Is it safe to have live spray painting indoors?

Safety and cleanliness are our top priorities! We use low-odour, professional-grade spray paints and set up high-quality floor and wall protection to ensure the venue stays spotless. Depending on the location, we can also use water-based markers or acrylics if ventilation is limited. We’ve worked in various Utrecht venues, from industrial warehouses to modern office spaces, and we always leave the place exactly as we found it.

Can we keep the artwork after the event is over?

Absolutely! Not only do you get a spectacular show, but you also end up with a one-of-a-kind piece of art. Most clients choose to keep the finished canvas to hang in their office or auction it off for charity. It’s a lasting memento of your event in Utrecht that continues to inspire your team long after the paint has dried and the music has stopped.

How long does a live painting performance typically last?

The duration is flexible and depends entirely on your schedule. We can perform a high-energy 'speed painting' session in about 60 minutes, or we can create a more detailed, large-scale masterpiece over the course of 3 to 6 hours. We’ll coordinate with your event timeline in Utrecht to ensure the big 'reveal' happens exactly when you want it to for maximum impact.

Can we request certain themes or brand colours?

We love collaborating! Before the event, we’ll discuss your goals, brand colours, and any specific themes or logos you want included. Our artists are masters at blending their unique street art style with your corporate identity. Whether it’s a brand launch in Utrecht or a retirement party, the artwork will be tailored perfectly to your specific requirements and vision.

Which areas do you cover for live painting events?

While we are based in the heart of the Netherlands, we regularly provide live painting performances in Utrecht, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, and Eindhoven. In fact, we cover the entire country and even travel internationally for larger projects. Wherever your event is, our team of professional graffiti artists is ready to bring the 'wow' factor to your venue.

What are the costs involved for a live painting session?

The cost varies based on the duration of the performance, the size of the canvas, and the complexity of the design. Generally, prices range between €25 and €55 per person for interactive setups, but for solo live painting performances, we usually provide a fixed project fee. We recommend requesting a custom quote so we can give you an accurate estimate based on your Utrecht event's specific needs.

Local culture

Utrecht is a city that breathes creativity, from the hidden street art gems in the Tweede Daalsedijk to the iconic Rietveld Schröder House. It’s a place where history meets modern urban culture, making it the perfect backdrop for a cutting-edge live painting performance. We love the local vibe here—there is an appreciation for the 'stadsie' spirit that makes every event in Utrecht feel special. Whether we’re painting in a historic wharf cellar or a modern high-rise in Leidsche Rijn, we draw inspiration from the city's unique architectural blend.

Fun fact: Utrecht is home to some of the tallest street art murals in the Netherlands! The city has a long-standing tradition of 'De Strakke Hand' painters who decorate the sides of buildings with stunning historical scenes.
