Is live painting safe for indoor events in Groningen?

Absolutely! We use high-quality spray cans and paints that are safe for both indoor and outdoor use. For indoor performances in Groningen, we use low-odour water-based paints and set up professional floor protection and ventilation. Safety is our top priority, ensuring your guests can enjoy the spectacle without any worries or messy accidents. We provide all the necessary protective gear for our artists too.

What kind of surfaces can you paint on?

The artist can paint on anything from traditional canvases and wooden panels to larger-than-life temporary walls or even branded merchandise. Some clients in Groningen love seeing us transform a plain white wall into a masterpiece, while others prefer something portable like a canvas that they can later hang in their office. We discuss the surface options with you during the planning phase to find the perfect fit.

Does the artist get distracted by the crowd during the event?

Not at all! Our professional artists are 'graffiti veterans' who are completely comfortable working while a crowd watches. They love the interaction and are happy to answer questions or explain their techniques as they work. This performance element is exactly what makes live painting so engaging compared to a static decoration. It’s all about the energy and the creative process unfolding live.

How long does a live painting session typically last?

The duration is flexible and depends on the scale of the artwork and your event's schedule. Most live painting performances in Groningen last between 2 and 5 hours. We can time the 'big reveal' or the completion of the piece to coincide with a specific moment in your programme, such as a keynote speech or the start of the evening party.

Can you include our company logo or a specific theme?

Yes, we love incorporating specific themes! Whether it’s your company’s brand colours, a specific logo, or a theme like 'innovation' or 'sustainability', our artists will weave these elements into the mural. We’ll discuss your vision beforehand so the final piece perfectly reflects the spirit of your event in Groningen. It’s a fantastic way to reinforce your message through art.

What happens to the completed painting after the event?

The artwork is yours! Most clients choose to keep the final piece as a permanent memento of the event. If it's on a canvas or panel, we can leave it with you immediately. It serves as a great conversation starter for your office foyer or as a unique prize for a lucky guest. If you’re not sure what to do with it, we can discuss disposal options as well.

Local culture

Groningen is a city that breathes creativity, from its iconic Groninger Museum to the hidden street art gems in the Ebbingekwartier. There is a deep-rooted appreciation for the 'Martinistad's' alternative scene, making it the perfect backdrop for a live painting performance. Our artists draw inspiration from the city's blend of historic charm and youthful, academic energy.

Fun Fact: Did you know Groningen has one of the oldest 'legal' graffiti walls in the Netherlands? The city has long supported the urban arts, which is why a live painting show feels so 'at home' here! 🏰
