Do we need to have any drawing or painting experience?

Absolutely no artistic talent is required for our team development workshops in Utrecht! Our professional artists guide you through the entire process, from basic lines to advanced shading. We focus on the collaborative process and the energy of the group rather than technical perfection. You will be amazed at what you can create together when you let go of your inhibitions and just follow the flow of the spray can.

What should we wear to the workshop?

We provide high-quality protective overalls, gloves, and shoe covers to keep your clothes clean. However, graffiti involves aerosol paint which can linger in the air, so we strongly recommend wearing comfortable, older clothes and trainers that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of dust on. Think 'workshop casual' rather than 'office formal' for the best and most relaxed experience during your Utrecht session.

What happens if it rains on the day of our event?

In Utrecht, we have access to both vibrant outdoor 'Hall of Fame' locations and covered spots. If the Dutch weather turns grey, we can move the session to a sheltered area or an indoor location using low-odour water-based paints. We always ensure there is a solid 'Plan B' so your team development day goes ahead rain or shine. Your creativity won't be dampened by a few raindrops!

How long does a typical team development session last?

Our standard team development sessions usually run for about 2 to 2.5 hours. This provides the perfect balance: enough time to learn the technical skills and complete a large-scale collaborative mural without the energy levels dipping. If you have a specific schedule to stick to, we can easily adapt the timing to fit into a 90-minute 'energiser' or a longer half-day creative intensive.

What is the minimum and maximum group size?

Diversity is our strength! We can host small, intimate teams of 10 people or large-scale corporate invasions of up to 500 participants. For larger groups, we simply bring in more professional artists to maintain a high level of personal interaction and safety. No matter the size of your Utrecht office, we have the logistics and the spray cans to accommodate everyone comfortably.

Is the graffiti workshop safe for all employees?

Safety is our top priority. We use professional-grade spray paint and provide all necessary safety equipment. Our artists are highly experienced in managing group dynamics and ensuring the workspace remains safe for everyone. We also use low-solvent or water-based paints for indoor sessions to ensure air quality. You are in expert hands, allowing you to focus entirely on the fun and the team-building aspect.

Do we need to pay in advance to book our date?

One of the best things about Graffitifun is that we don't require any upfront payment or deposits for Utrecht bookings. You can secure your date and only pay after the workshop has been completed and you are 100% satisfied with the experience. This takes the stress out of the planning process and demonstrates our commitment to delivering a top-quality service for your team.

The experience

Why choose graffiti for your next team development day in Utrecht? Because nothing builds a bond like creating a 10-foot mural from scratch! It levels the playing field and gets everyone out of their comfort zone in the best way possible. 💪

Unleash hidden potential: Watch quiet team members find their voice through bold colours and big strokes. 🎤
Enhance collaboration: A mural requires coordination, shared vision, and constant communication to look great.
Stress relief: There is something incredibly therapeutic about the 'hiss' of a spray can and the freedom of street art.
Tangible results: Walk away with a physical masterpiece (or photos of one) that represents your team's hard work.
Zero cancel culture: We have backup artists on standby, so your Utrecht event is guaranteed to happen. 🛡️
Tailored to you: We can incorporate your company logo, brand colours, or specific themes into the workshop.

Step by step

The warm-up: We start with a high-energy intro where you meet your artist-mentor and learn about the local Utrecht street art scene.
Safety first: Get suited up in protective gear and learn the essential 'can-control' techniques to stay safe and clean.
The sketch phase: Work together as a team to brainstorm your concept. Whether it's your company values or a wild abstract, we help you get it on paper.
Tagging basics: Learn how to create your 'tag'—your artistic signature—to find your rhythm with the spray can.
Outline building: We move to the wall or canvas, where your team starts sketching the large-scale foundations of your masterpiece.
Filling and fading: This is where the magic happens! Learn how to fill large areas and create smooth colour transitions and gradients.
The final touch: Use 'highlights' and 'lowlights' to make your artwork pop and add those sharp professional edges.
The reveal: Step back with your colleagues and admire your collective work. It’s the perfect moment for a team photo!
Debrief and chill: We wrap up by discussing how your team collaborated and what the artwork represents for your future goals.

Local culture

Utrecht is a city that breathes creativity, from the iconic Rietveld Schröder House to the hidden street art gems in the Werkspoorkwartier. It’s a place where history meets a modern, edgy vibe—the perfect backdrop for a team development session that dares to be different. We often host our sessions near the creative hubs where the city's industrial past is being rewritten by local artists. 🎨

Fun Fact: Utrecht is home to some of the longest-running graffiti 'Halls of Fame' in the Netherlands, where the city officially encourages street artists to practice their craft openly!

By bringing your team here, you aren't just doing an activity; you're stepping into a piece of Utrecht’s living culture. After the workshop, you're just a short walk away from the Oudegracht’s wharf cellars for celebratory drinks. ✨

Pricing

Our team development workshops in Utrecht are priced to provide incredible value, starting from just €25 to €55 per person. The final price depends on your group size, the duration of the session, and whether you want to work on a collaborative wall or individual canvases that you can take back to the office.

We believe in total transparency and zero stress—that's why we require no upfront payment. You only pay after the event is finished and your team is buzzing with excitement! 💸
