Where in Rotterdam do the graffiti team building workshops take place?

Our workshops are held at legendary legal graffiti spots in Rotterdam, like the Hall of Fame under the Hofplein line or the rugged walls near the Maashaven. These outdoor locations provide an authentic street art atmosphere. If you prefer to stay on-site at your office or a specific venue, we can bring mobile wooden panels to you. We'll find the perfect spot that suits your team's vibe and location preferences.

Do we need any prior artistic experience to participate?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for everyone, from those who haven't touched a paintbrush since primary school to secret creative geniuses. Our professional artists guide you through every step, starting with basic lines and shapes. We focus on the 'fun' in functional art, ensuring every team member feels confident and capable of contributing to a masterpiece they'll be proud of by the end.

What should we wear, and do you provide protective gear?

Safety and cleanliness are our top priorities. We provide high-quality protective overalls, gloves, and shoe covers to keep your professional attire paint-free. Since we work with spray cans, we also provide professional-grade face masks. We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of dust on, just to be extra safe while you're channelling your inner Banksy!

How long does a typical graffiti workshop last for corporate groups?

The typical Rotterdam team building session lasts between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. This includes the initial briefing, technique practice, the main creative phase where you work on your team project, and a final 'gallery walk' to admire everyone's work. We can easily adjust the timing to fit into a tighter conference schedule or expand it for a more relaxed, full-afternoon corporate outing.

Can we integrate our company logo or specific themes into the artwork?

Absolutely! We love it when teams want to incorporate their brand identity. You can choose to paint your company logo, core values, or a slogan that represents your current project goals. Our artists will help you translate your corporate branding into a cool, urban street art style. It's a fantastic way to reinforce company culture and create a unique piece of art for the office wall.

What happens if it rains on the day of our outdoor workshop?

We are fully prepared for the unpredictable Dutch weather! If the forecast looks rainy, we have several options. We can move the workshop to a sheltered outdoor location (like under a bridge or canopy) or set up indoors using our special low-odour water-based spray paints on canvases or boards. We also have a backup artist system in place to ensure your event always goes ahead as planned.

Why should we choose Graffitifun over other workshop providers?

We offer total flexibility for our corporate clients. Unlike many other providers, we don't require an upfront payment to secure your booking; you can simply pay after the workshop is completed via invoice. Additionally, we have a large team of professional artists on standby. This means even if an instructor falls ill, your team building event in Rotterdam will never be cancelled. Your booking is 100% guaranteed.

The experience

Why choose graffiti for your next professional get-together in the port city? It's more than just spray painting; it's a powerful tool for connection. Here’s why it works:

Epic collaboration: Nothing says "teamwork" like co-creating a 10-metre long mural without crashing into each other! 🤝
Level playing field: In front of a spray can, the CEO and the intern are equals. It breaks down hierarchies instantly.
Stress busting: There is something incredibly therapeutic about the hiss of a spray can and letting loose on a wall. 💥
Tangible results: You'll walk away with a physical representation of your team's collective vision and effort.
Zero risk: With our backup artist guarantee and "pay afterwards" policy, your event is in safe hands. 🏆

Step by step

Warm welcome and intro: Meet our artists at the designated Rotterdam street art spot for a quick briefing on safety and the day's creative goals.
Mastering the tools: Learn how to handle a spray can like a pro, including pressure control, nozzle types, and different spraying distances.
Practice session: Get comfortable on the wall with guided exercises to practice lines, dots, and fills before starting the main event.
Concept brainstorming: Your team huddles up to sketch out a design that represents your company's spirit or a specific project theme.
The big outline: Start transferring your vision to the wall or canvas, with our artists helping you get the proportions just right.
Colour and fill: This is where the magic happens! Layer vibrant colours and gradients to bring your team's graffiti piece to life.
Adding the details: Use "cutting" techniques and highlights to make the artwork pop and give it that professional street art finish.
Grand finale: We wrap up with a group photo in front of your masterpiece and a celebratory 'gallery opening' atmosphere.
The clean up: We handle all the rubbish and materials, leaving you to head off for drinks with your team, buzzing from the experience!

Local culture

Rotterdam isn't just a city; it's a massive open-air gallery. From the giant murals in the Zomerhofkwartier to the iconic street art route in the Witte de Withstraat area, this city breathes urban creativity. Our workshops tap into this "Rotterdamse mentaliteit" — a hands-on, "no-nonsense" approach to getting things done. We often host our sessions at the famous Hofplein line, where the industrial history of the city meets modern urban expression. 🏗️

Fun Fact: Did you know Rotterdam is home to one of the oldest legal graffiti walls in the Netherlands? The city has long embraced street art as a way to revitalise urban spaces, making it a world-class destination for graffiti enthusiasts! 🚢

Pricing

Our workshop prices are as transparent as a fresh coat of lacquer. We offer flexible packages to suit different corporate budgets and group sizes.

Price range: €25 - €55 per person

The final investment depends on the number of participants, the location chosen, and whether you want to take the artwork home on individual canvases or create one giant mural. We don't believe in hidden fees or upfront payments — you only pay after the fun is done!
