Is the graffiti workshop safe for participants with special needs?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks and gloves, and we use low-pressure spray cans that are easier to control. Our artists are experienced in managing groups with various needs, ensuring that everyone can participate at their own pace in a secure, supervised environment. We also ensure our workshop locations in Bilbao are accessible and free from hazards.

How do you adapt the workshop for different types of disabilities?

We believe art is for everyone, regardless of ability. Our workshops are highly adaptable; for those with mobility challenges, we can set up canvases at specific heights. For those who prefer a quieter experience, we can adjust the music and group dynamics. We focus on sensory-friendly communication and provide plenty of one-on-one support to ensure every participant feels confident and successful in their creative journey.

Do participants need any prior art experience?

Not at all! This workshop is designed for complete beginners. Our professional graffiti artists will guide the group through every single step, from holding the can to creating complex shapes. We focus on the 'fun' factor rather than technical perfection. It’s all about the experience of using vibrant colours and expressing yourself in a brand-new way right here in Bilbao.

What materials are included in the session?

We provide everything you need for a fantastic day! This includes a wide range of spray paint colours, specialized nozzles (caps), protective clothing (overalls, gloves, and masks), and the surfaces we’ll be painting on. For special needs programs, we also bring extra enthusiasm and patience to ensure the atmosphere remains relaxed and encouraging throughout the entire session. Just bring your creativity!

How long does a typical workshop last?

A standard session usually lasts between 1.5 to 2.5 hours. We’ve found this is the 'sweet spot' for maintaining engagement without causing fatigue. However, we are flexible! If your group needs a shorter session with more breaks, or a longer, more detailed masterclass, we can tailor the schedule to fit your specific requirements. We move at the speed that is most comfortable for you.

What are the benefits of graffiti for people with special needs?

Graffiti is a fantastic way to improve fine motor skills, boost self-esteem, and encourage social interaction. It provides a unique sensory experience and a powerful outlet for emotional expression. Many participants find the 'relaxed' rules of street art liberating, as there are no mistakes—only 'happy accidents'. It’s a wonderful way to build confidence while creating something beautiful and tangible in a social setting.

Local culture

Bilbao has undergone an incredible transformation from an industrial hub to a global beacon of art and culture. While the Guggenheim might be the crown jewel, the city's streets tell a different, more grassroots story. From the vibrant murals in Zorrozaurre to the hidden gems in Bilbao La Vieja, the city is a living gallery. Our workshops tap into this local energy, encouraging participants to feel like a part of Bilbao's modern artistic identity.✨

Fun Fact: Did you know that Bilbao is home to some of the most impressive "legal walls" in the Basque Country? These dedicated spaces allow the community to constantly reinvent the city's urban landscape through colour! 🎨

Pricing

We believe high-quality art experiences should be accessible to all. Our pricing is transparent and reflects the tailored nature of our special needs programs.

Individual rate: €25 - €50 per person

The final price depends on the group size, the duration of the session, and any specific material requirements. We don't ask for any money upfront—you simply pay once the workshop is over and you're happy with the results! 🔥
