Are the spray cans safe for participants with sensory sensitivities?

Absolutely! We use high-quality, water-based spray cans that are low-odour and non-toxic whenever requested. These are specifically designed for indoor use or for participants who might be sensitive to the smell of traditional paint. We also provide full protective gear, including masks and gloves, to ensure everyone feels comfortable and safe throughout the creative process in Bologna.

Can you host the workshop at our own facility in Bologna?

Yes, our workshops are completely mobile. While we have selected locations in Bologna, we can also bring the entire street art experience to your school, care centre, or community facility. We just need a well-ventilated space or an outdoor area. We handle all the protective floor covering and setup, so you don't have to worry about the cleanup.

How do you adapt the graffiti techniques for different ability levels?

Our artists are experts at adapting. We use larger nozzles for easier spraying for those with limited motor skills, and we offer stencils to help create sharp designs without needing perfect hand-eye coordination. We move at the pace of the group, ensuring that every participant feels a sense of achievement and pride in their final piece of artwork.

What is the typical duration of a workshop for special needs groups?

We recommend a duration of 90 minutes to 2 hours for our special needs programs. This timeframe is usually perfect for maintaining engagement without causing fatigue. However, we are flexible! If your group needs more frequent breaks or a shorter, more high-energy session, we can tailor the schedule to meet your specific requirements.

Do we need to pay anything upfront to book?

Not at all! You only pay after the workshop has been successfully completed. We believe in the quality of our service and want you to be 100% satisfied with the experience. This 'pay later' policy also makes the administrative process much easier for organisations and care centres in Bologna who might have specific invoicing cycles.

What is the maximum group size for these sessions?

For our special needs programs, we recommend a ratio of one artist to every 10-12 participants to ensure everyone gets enough individual attention. For larger groups, we simply bring more professional artists from our team. This ensures the environment remains calm, supportive, and focused on the creative journey of each participant.

Local culture

Bologna has a long-standing history of social activism and public art, from the iconic murals in the Pratello district to the experimental spaces at DumBO. Street art here isn't just about aesthetics; it's about voice and community. Our workshops tap into this local tradition by making the medium accessible to individuals who are often sidelined in traditional art spaces. We take inspiration from the warm terracotta hues of the city's porticos and the bold energy of its student population. By bringing urban art to the special needs community, we are helping to ensure that Bologna’s famous street art culture remains truly representative of all its citizens, fostering a sense of belonging in one of Italy's most progressive cities.

Pricing

Our special needs workshops in Bologna are priced competitively to ensure accessibility for local organisations and families. Prices generally range from €25 to €55 per person, depending on the number of participants, the location, and the specific materials required (such as specialised canvases or indoor-safe paint).

Because every group is unique, we don't believe in one-size-fits-all pricing. Request a custom quote today to get a tailored proposal for your specific needs. Remember, we require no upfront payment – you only pay after the workshop is complete!
