Do you use low-odour or non-toxic spray paint for these sessions?

Absolutely! We use high-quality, water-based spray paints for our indoor sessions and when specifically requested for outdoor ones. These produce far fewer fumes and dry quickly, making them ideal for participants with sensory sensitivities or respiratory concerns. We always ensure the environment is well-ventilated so everyone can focus on having a blast and getting creative without any discomfort. Safety and comfort are always our top priorities.

What if a participant has limited fine motor skills?

Our artists are experts at adapting. We offer various techniques, from traditional freehand spraying to using custom stencils and sponge-dabbers. For those with limited mobility, we can set up vertical canvases at specific heights or even horizontal tables. We focuses on what every individual *can* do, ensuring no one is left out of the creative process. It is all about the joy of making marks!

Can the workshop be held at our own facility in Chiclayo?

We are super flexible! While we often host these workshops at vibrant local spots in Chiclayo, we can also bring the entire graffiti studio to you. Whether it is a community centre, a school hall, or a private garden, we just need a well-ventilated area and some space to move. We handle all the protective floor coverings and setup, so your venue stays clean.

How long does a typical special needs workshop last?

Standard sessions usually run for about 90 minutes to 2 hours, but we know that some groups benefit from a different pace. We can build in frequent 'chill-out' breaks or condense the session into a high-energy hour. We discuss the specific needs of your group beforehand to find the 'sweet spot' that keeps everyone engaged and happy without feeling overwhelmed.

Is there an age limit for participants in these workshops?

At Graffitifun, we believe art is for everyone, regardless of age! Our special needs programs are designed for children, teenagers, and adults. We adjust our teaching style and the complexity of the designs based on the age group and developmental stage of the participants. Whether it is a sensory play session for kids or a mural project for adults, we have got it covered.

Do we need to pay anything upfront to book?

No way! We are one of the few providers that doesn't require upfront payments or deposits for these bookings. We believe in our service and want the process to be stress-free for you. Once the workshop is finished and everyone is wearing a huge smile, we handle the payment. It is part of our 100% satisfaction guarantee to ensure you are totally happy.

What safety measures do you take during the workshop?

Safety is our number one rule. All participants are provided with high-quality gloves, masks, and protective overalls to keep clothes clean. Our professional artists are trained to supervise the use of spray cans closely. We also conduct a site safety check before starting to ensure there are no trip hazards and that the workspace is accessible for everyone, including wheelchair users.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your group? It is more than just paint on a wall—it is a powerful tool for empowerment and sensory exploration. Here is why our Chiclayo sessions are so special:

Sensory Engagement: The "hiss" of the can and the vibrant flow of colour provide amazing auditory and visual stimulation. 🌈
No Wrong Way to Create: Unlike traditional drawing, graffiti is forgiving and bold. There are no mistakes, only "happy accidents"!
Physical Development: Pressing the nozzle and moving the arm helps with fine and gross motor skills in a fun, non-clinical way. 💪
Confidence Boost: Seeing a large-scale piece of art that *you* helped create provides an enormous sense of pride and achievement. 🏆
Zero Pressure: With our "pay after the workshop" policy and backup artists, your event is guaranteed to be stress-free.
Expert Mentors: Our artists aren't just talented; they are patient, encouraging, and love sharing their passion with everyone. 🎤

Step by step

Initial Consultation: We start with a friendly chat to understand the specific needs, abilities, and interests of your group in Chiclayo.
Custom Planning: Our artists design a session plan that includes accessible techniques, specific color palettes, and the right pace for your participants.
Safety Briefing: On the day, we start with a gentle, easy-to-follow introduction to the tools and safety gear, ensuring everyone feels comfortable.
Practice Rounds: Everyone gets a chance to 'test' the cans on practice boards, getting used to the pressure and the sound of the spray.
Creative Freedom: We move on to the main event! Participants work on their own canvases or a large collective mural, guided by our supportive team.
Stencilling & Details: For those who want more structure, we provide pre-cut stencils to help create sharp shapes and cool designs easily.
The Big Reveal: We take a moment to celebrate the artwork created, taking photos and cheering on the amazing achievements of the day.
Clean Up: Our team handles the entire pack-down, leaving the space exactly as we found it, while you get to keep the masterpieces!

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Chiclayo is famed as the Ciudad de la Amistad (City of Friendship), and we bring that exact spirit to every single workshop we host here. The city’s vibrant energy—from the bustling Model Market to the historic ruins nearby—inspires our colour palettes and designs. We love seeing how the local "Chiclayano" spirit of warmth and welcoming translates into the collaborative murals our groups create. We often find inspiration in the rich Moche history of the region, mixing ancient motifs with modern street art styles right here in the Lambayeque region.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Chiclayo is one of the most wind-swept cities in Peru? We always check the coastal breezes before setting up our outdoor boards to make sure your spray paint goes exactly where you want it to! 🌬️

If you're looking for other cool things to do in Peru, check out our workshops in Lima, Arequipa, Trujillo, and Cusco.
