Is the graffiti workshop safe for individuals with special needs?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We use low-odour, water-based spray paints where necessary and provide high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and aprons. Our professional artists are trained to supervise the session closely, ensuring everyone uses the equipment correctly while maintaining a fun and relaxed environment. We adapt our teaching style to match the specific needs and safety requirements of every participant.

Do participants need any prior art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. We focus on the 'fun' part of creation rather than technical perfection. Our Maribor artists will guide you through every step, from holding the can to filling in shapes. We celebrate every splash of colour and every unique line, making sure that everyone feels like a successful artist by the time the session ends.

Where in Maribor do the workshops take place?

We are very flexible! We can host workshops at various accessible street art locations across Maribor, or we can bring the entire setup to your facility, school, or community centre. If we come to you, we use mobile graffiti walls and protective coverings to ensure your space stays clean while the creativity flows. Just let us know what works best for your group's mobility needs.

How long does a typical workshop last?

A typical session for special needs groups lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. This timeframe is perfect as it provides enough time to learn and create without causing fatigue. However, we are happy to adjust the duration to suit the attention spans and energy levels of your specific group. We move at your pace, ensuring no one feels rushed or overwhelmed during the process.

What materials are included in the workshop?

We provide everything! This includes a wide range of vibrant spray paint colours, caps (nozzles) for different effects, protective clothing, and the surfaces to paint on. We can work on large communal boards or provide individual canvases that participants can take home as a proud memento of their day. You just need to show up in comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a bit of dust on!

What is the ideal group size for these sessions?

We usually recommend a group size of 5 to 15 participants per artist to ensure everyone gets the personal attention they deserve. If you have a larger group, no problem at all! we simply bring along more of our friendly professional artists to help out. This ensures the environment remains calm, supportive, and engaging for every single individual involved in the creative process.

How do we book a session and when do we pay?

Booking is easy and stress-free! You can use our online cost calculator for an immediate estimate or send us a message with your preferred date and group size. We don't require any upfront payment—you can pay after the workshop is completed. Our goal is to make the administrative side as simple as the painting itself, so you can focus on the fun!

Local culture

Maribor is a city with a heart as big as its hills, and its street art scene is no different. From the creative energy around the Pekarna Cultural Centre to the colourful murals tucked away in the city's charming alleyways, Maribor embraces the bold and the beautiful. Our workshops tap into this local spirit of "skupaj" (togetherness), providing a space where the city's diverse voices can be heard through art. We love the relaxed, welcoming vibe of Maribor, which provides the perfect backdrop for a stress-free creative session.

Fun Fact: Did you know Maribor is home to the world's oldest vine? Just like that 450-year-old plant, we believe that with the right support, everyone can continue to grow and produce something beautiful! 🍇🎨
