What age groups can participate in the graffiti summer camp?

Our summer camp activities in Kecskemét are designed for children and teenagers aged 8 to 18. We split the groups by age and skill level to ensure everyone feels comfortable. Younger kids focus on basic shapes and safety, while older teens can dive into complex layering and lettering techniques. Our professional artists are experts at keeping every age group engaged, challenged, and having a blast with the spray cans!

Is spray painting safe for children and teenagers?

Safety is our absolute number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits for every participant. Our workshops only use professional spray paint that meets European safety standards. Our artists provide a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a can, and we maintain a high supervisor-to-student ratio to ensure everyone is using the equipment correctly and safely throughout the day.

Do the kids need to have any prior drawing or art skills?

Absolutely not! We start from the very basics. Most of our campers have never held a spray can before. We begin with paper sketches and practice 'filling' techniques on cardboard before moving to the main walls or canvases. Our goal is to build confidence and show every child that they have an inner artist waiting to be unleashed, regardless of their previous experience.

What should the participants wear and bring with them?

We recommend wearing old clothes and sneakers that you don't mind getting a few paint splashes on. Even though we provide full protective 'bunny suits' and gloves, graffiti can sometimes be a bit messy! We also suggest bringing a water bottle, a snack, and plenty of energy. We provide all the professional art supplies, including premium spray cans, caps, masks, and various surfaces to paint on.

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

If the weather in Kecskemét doesn't play along, we have several backup plans. Many of our partner locations have sheltered outdoor areas or well-ventilated indoor spaces where we can continue the creative fun safely. We also offer portable cellophane 'walls' that can be set up in indoor sports halls. Your event is secure with us—we have backup artists on standby to ensure nothing stands in the way of the fun!

How long does a typical graffiti session last?

Our creative camp sessions in Kecskemét typically last between 1.5 and 3 hours per session. This allows enough time for the safety briefing, sketching designs, practicing techniques, and completing a final masterpiece. For full-day summer camp programmes, we often break the day into different creative modules, including tag creation, stencil making, and large-scale mural production, ensuring the kids stay inspired and excited all day long.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your summer camp in Kecskemét? It’s more than just painting; it’s about confidence, teamwork, and massive amounts of fun! 🏆

Instant "Cool" factor: Let's be honest, there's nothing cooler than learning to spray paint like a pro street artist.
Total inclusivity: You don't need to be a "drawing expert"—our techniques allow every child to create something impressive.
Safe & Legal: We teach the difference between vandalism and art, providing a safe, legal outlet for self-expression.
Confidence boost: Seeing a large-scale piece come to life gives campers a huge sense of accomplishment and pride. 💪
Professional vibes: Our artists aren't just teachers; they are active creators who share real-world tips and tricks.
Memorable keepsakes: Every participant takes home their own canvas or photos of their incredible mural work!

Step by step

Intro & inspiration: We start with a high-energy intro to street art history and look at some famous local mural examples.
Safety first: Every camper gets fitted with their protective gear (mask, gloves, suit) and learns the golden rules of spray safety.
The tag creator: Using our digital or paper tools, kids design their own unique 'tag' or artist nickname.
First lines: We head to the practice wall to learn 'can control'—how to hold the spray can and create different line widths.
Mastering techniques: Our pros teach the 'fill-in', 'fading', and 'outline' techniques that make graffiti pop.
Main event sketching: Campers sketch their final vision onto the large surface, planning their colours carefully.
The big spray: This is where the magic happens! Everyone works on their masterpiece under the guidance of our artists.
The grand reveal: We finish with a 'gallery walk' where everyone shows off their work and takes plenty of photos.
Clean up & awards: We wrap up by tidying our creative space and celebrating the amazing art created during the day.

Local culture

Kecskemét might be famous for its stunning Art Nouveau architecture like the Cifrapalota, but there’s a growing appetite for modern urban expression in the heart of the Great Plain. We love bringing our workshops to this city because the contrast between the historic "Palace of Ornamentation" and the bold, sharp lines of modern graffiti is simply inspiring. Whether we are setting up near the bustling city centre or in one of the lush green parks, the atmosphere in Kecskemét is perfect for outdoor creativity. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know Kecskemét is known as the "City of Music and Animation"? It’s the perfect backdrop for our workshops, as graffiti is just another form of visual storytelling and rhythm on a wall! 🎬

We often encourage our campers to take inspiration from the local surroundings, perhaps mixing the folk patterns found on Hungarian tiles with the wildstyle lettering of the 21st century. It's all about celebrating local culture through a global art form.
