The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your Sigatoka summer camp? It’s more than just painting—it’s about building confidence and community! Here is why our sessions are a hit:

  • Total creative freedom: Forget staying inside the lines. We encourage kids to find their own style and voice. 🎤
  • Epic team building: Collaborative murals teach young people how to work together to create something massive and beautiful. 🤝
  • Professional mentors: Our artists aren't just teachers; they are active street performers who live and breathe this culture. 🏆
  • Safe and mess-free: We handle all the setup and cleanup, and our high-quality PPE keeps the kids (and their clothes) safe. 💪
  • Zero stress booking: With backup artists and no upfront costs, your summer programme planning just got a lot easier. 🎉
  • Take-home art: Every participant can create their own canvas, leaving them with a permanent souvenir of their time in Sigatoka. 🖼️

Step by step

  1. Arrival and safety briefing: Meet your pro artist instructors at our Sigatoka location for a quick intro. We'll hand out masks, gloves, and overalls to keep everyone safe and clean.
  2. The art of the tag: Every artist needs a signature! We start by teaching the kids how to design their own unique graffiti tag on paper before moving to the wall.
  3. Spray can basics: Our artists demonstrate 'can control'—learning how to hold the spray can, adjust pressure, and create different line widths and effects.
  4. Concept sketching: The group works together to sketch a large-scale mural design, or kids can work on individual canvases to take home.
  5. Filling in the colours: This is where the magic happens! Participants start filling in the large shapes of the mural using a vibrant palette of professional spray paints.
  6. Outlining and details: We teach the trickier parts—adding sharp contours, highlights, and 3D shadows to make the artwork really 'pop' off the surface.
  7. The grand reveal: Once the final touches are added, the group steps back to admire their collective masterpiece. It’s the perfect time for a group photo!
  8. Clean up and wrap up: We pack up the gear and ensure the site is tidy, leaving the group with a massive sense of achievement and some serious new skills.

Local culture

Street art in Sigatoka

Sigatoka, with its incredible sand dunes and lush river valley, is the perfect backdrop for outdoor creativity. Known as the gateway to the Coral Coast, the town has a rhythmic, laid-back energy that blends perfectly with the flow of a spray can. While Fiji is famous for traditional crafts, we are bringing a modern, urban twist to the local youth scene. Fun fact: Sigatoka is home to Fiji's first National Park, the Sigatoka Sand Dunes, where the wind-sculpted patterns in the sand actually look a lot like organic street art designs! We love drawing inspiration from the local scenery—from the deep blues of the Pacific to the vibrant greens of the valley—incorporating those tropical vibes into every mural we create with the kids.
