Do I need prior graffiti experience to join the teacher training in Kranj?

Absolutely! This training is designed for educators of all skill levels. Our professional graffiti artists will guide you through the basics of spray can control, safety, and letter structure before moving on to more complex techniques. We focus on teaching you how to teach others, so your personal artistic starting point is less important than your enthusiasm to learn and share new creative methods with your students in Kranj.

How long does the professional development session last?

The workshop typically lasts between 2 and 3 hours. During this time, we cover the history of street art, safety protocols, spray techniques, and pedagogical strategies for the classroom. We also include a 'mess-free' planning session and a full hands-on painting experience. If you have specific curriculum goals, we can extend the session to include deep-dive modules on specific street art movements or advanced stencil making.

What materials are included in the training package?

We provide everything you need! This includes high-quality spray cans with various nozzles (caps), protective overalls, gloves, masks, and practice surfaces. We also provide educational handouts and digital resources that you can take back to your school. You just need to wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a little bit of 'creative dust' on. We handle the setup and the cleanup.

How do you handle safety and ventilation during the workshop?

Safety is our number one priority. We use low-odour, high-quality paints and provide professional-grade FFP2 or FFP3 masks for all participants. During the training, we'll teach you how to set up a safe outdoor or well-ventilated indoor 'spray zone' at your own school, how to manage group dynamics with spray cans, and how to ensure students follow strict safety protocols while still having an absolute blast.

Will I receive a certificate after completing the training?

Yes, we do! Upon completion of the Graffitifun Teacher Training, every participant receives a certificate of completion. This serves as proof of your professional development and confirms that you have been trained in the safe and effective delivery of graffiti art workshops. It’s a great addition to your professional teaching portfolio and shows your commitment to modern, inclusive art education in Slovenia.

What happens if the trainer can't make it?

Graffitifun is built on reliability. We have a large network of professional artists and backup trainers available. Unlike solo freelancers, we guarantee that your session will go ahead as planned. If an instructor falls ill, a backup artist is ready to step in. We also offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee—we are committed to ensuring you feel confident and inspired to bring these new skills back to your students.

Can I apply these techniques if my school doesn't have a legal spray wall?

The skills you learn are highly adaptable! While spray painting is the core, we also teach stencil techniques, 'tape art', and marker-based graffiti styles that are perfect for standard classrooms. We’ll show you how to integrate street art history into your theory lessons and how to use graffiti as a tool for teaching typography, colour theory, and social commentary, regardless of your school's outdoor space or budget.

Local culture

Kranj, the cultural heart of the Slovenian Alps, is the perfect backdrop for street art exploration. While the city is famous for its historic tunnels and the legacy of poet France Prešeren, there is a pulse of modern creativity growing in areas like the Layer House (Layerjeva hiša) and the urban spaces near the Kokra Canyon. Our training taps into this local spirit, showing you how to draw inspiration from Kranj's unique blend of alpine tradition and industrial heritage.

Fun Fact: Did you know that Kranj is home to one of the most active alternative cultural scenes in Slovenia? The city's 'open-air gallery' vibe makes it an inspiring place for teachers to rediscover their own artistic voices while surrounded by stunning mountain views! 🏔️

By bringing graffiti education to Kranj, you are helping to foster a new generation of Gorenjska artists who respect their environment while pushing the boundaries of creativity. We also offer sessions in nearby Ljubljana and Celje if you are looking for regional networking opportunities.
