Do I need prior experience with spray paint to join?

Absolutely not! This training is designed for all skill levels. Whether you are a classic oil painter or someone who hasn't picked up a brush since primary school, our professional artists will guide you through the basics of spray can control. We focus on teaching you the methodology so you can confidently pass those skills on to your students in Trenčín, regardless of your personal artistic background.

What materials are included in the teacher training?

We provide everything you need to get started. This includes high-quality low-pressure spray can sets, various nozzles (caps), respiratory protection, gloves, and protective suits. We also provide the practice surfaces and design templates. You just need to show up in comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of dust on. We believe in a 'plug and play' approach to professional development.

Is the workshop safe for a school environment?

Safety is our absolute number one priority. We use low-odour, high-quality paints and provide full protective gear. During the session, we’ll teach you how to set up a safe 'spray zone' in your own school environment, including proper ventilation and student positioning. You will leave the workshop with a clear safety protocol that satisfies even the strictest school health and safety requirements.

Can you host the training at our specific school in Trenčín?

Yes, we offer full flexibility! While we love hosting educators at our Trenčín creative spots, we can also bring the entire setup to your school grounds. As long as you have a well-ventilated outdoor area or a suitable indoor space with high ceilings, we can transform your campus into a temporary street art academy for the day. This is a great way to assess your own facilities.

How long does the professional development session last?

The workshop typically runs between 2 to 3 hours. We’ve found this is the perfect 'sweet spot' to cover the history of the movement, master the technical handling of the cans, and complete a collaborative mural. However, if you have a larger faculty group or want a more intensive deep-dive into curriculum integration, we can extend the duration to fit your specific professional development schedule.

How does the payment process work for schools?

We understand that school budgets can be tricky. That’s why we operate on a 'no upfront payment' basis. You can book your training session to secure the date, and the payment is only processed after the workshop is successfully completed. We accept bank transfers and provide full VAT invoicing suitable for educational accounting departments across Slovakia. Your satisfaction and ease of booking are what matter most to us.

How will this help me engage students who aren't interested in traditional art?

Street art is a fantastic tool for reaching 'at-risk' or disengaged youth. During the training, we discuss the psychology of graffiti and how it can be used as a hook for teaching art history, social justice, and personal identity. We provide you with the vocabulary and the 'street cred' needed to connect with students on a different level, making your art room the most popular place in school.

Local culture

Trenčín has always been a city where history meets modern energy. From the iconic Trenčín Castle looking down on us to the vibrant alternative scene that thrives during the Pohoda Festival, there is a unique creative pulse here. While the city is famous for its "City of Fashion" heritage, the urban art scene is growing, and local schools are increasingly looking for ways to bridge the gap between traditional Slovak culture and modern street expression.

Fun Fact: Did you know Trenčín is home to one of the most eclectic music and arts festivals in Europe? This spirit of "anything is possible" is exactly what we bring to our workshops. We encourage teachers to take inspiration from the city's silhouettes and river views when designing their first graffiti pieces! 🎨
