Is it safe to have a graffiti workshop at a crowded festival?

Absolutely! We provide high-quality masks, gloves, and protective suits to keep your festival outfit clean. Our professional artists also conduct a safety briefing before any spray cans are popped. We use low-odor paints where possible, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for participants of all ages to enjoy the creative process without any worries. Safety is our top priority alongside having a blast!

Can you accommodate large crowds and high foot traffic?

Yes, we are totally flexible! Whether you are hosting a small community arts fest at Toa Payoh Hub or a massive music festival, we can scale our setup. We provide everything from mobile graffiti walls to professional spray cans and protective gear. Our team handles the logistics so you can focus on managing your event while we provide the high-energy entertainment.

How long does a typical festival graffiti session last?

Most festival-style workshops run between 1.5 to 3 hours, but for large events, we often run 'drop-in' sessions that last the whole day. This allows hundreds of people to contribute to a single massive collaborative mural. We can customize the timing to fit your festival schedule perfectly, ensuring there is always something exciting happening at our station.

Do participants need any prior art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for everyone from total beginners to seasoned creatives. Our professional artists guide participants through basic techniques like 'tagging,' 'outlining,' and 'filling.' Most people are surprised at how quickly they can create something impressive. It is all about having fun and expressing yourself, regardless of your prior artistic experience or skill level.

What happens to the art created during the festival?

We offer two main styles: individual canvases that guests can take home as souvenirs, or a huge collaborative mural where everyone contributes to one giant masterpiece. For festivals, the collaborative mural is a huge hit as it creates a lasting piece of community art that represents the spirit of the event. We can even discuss permanent installations if the venue allows!

What about the mess and cleanup?

We take care of everything. Our team arrives early for setup and stays late for teardown. We use protective flooring (drop cloths) to ensure no paint gets on the festival grounds. Our goal is to leave the space exactly as we found it, but with a lot more colorful memories shared among your festival attendees!

Do I need to pay a deposit upfront to book?

No way! At Graffitifun, we believe in the quality of our work, so we don't require upfront payments. You can book your festival slot and pay after the event is successfully completed. This gives you total peace of mind that you are getting the premium, professional service you expect for your Toa Payoh event.

Local culture

Toa Payoh is a town with deep roots and a unique Singaporean soul. Known for its iconic HDB designs and the bustling Toa Payoh Hub, this neighborhood is the perfect backdrop for a blend of traditional community spirit and modern urban art. We love bringing our workshops here because the "TPY" crowd always brings a fantastic energy. Did you know? Toa Payoh was the first town completely designed and built by the HDB, making it a pioneer in Singapore’s urban landscape—much like how graffiti pioneers transformed city walls into galleries!

Fun Fact: The name Toa Payoh actually means "Big Swamp" in Hokkien and Malay, but today, it is a vibrant urban jungle and a prime spot for creative community festivals! 🎨
