Step by step

  1. Safety briefing & gear up: We start by putting on our masks, gloves, and aprons while learning the golden rules of spray can safety.
  2. The art of the line: Kids learn how to hold the can and control the pressure to create thin lines, thick strokes, and dots.
  3. Lettering basics: Our artists teach the secrets of "tagging" and how to turn simple letters into 3D graffiti styles.
  4. Color theory & blending: Learn how to choose colors that pop and how to create smooth transitions and "fades" between colors.
  5. Sketching the masterpiece: Participants sketch their final design onto their canvas or wall using light paint strokes.
  6. The fill-in: This is the fun part! Kids fill in their designs with vibrant colors and add shadows for that 3D look.
  7. The outline & highlights: We add sharp black outlines and white highlights to make the artwork truly "jump" off the surface.
  8. Character & detail: For those who finish early, we add stencils, splatters, or "drips" to give the art more personality.
  9. Photo op & cleanup: We wrap up with a group photoshoot so everyone can show off their new skills and street art creations!

Local culture

Street art in Toa Payoh

Toa Payoh is one of Singapore’s most iconic neighborhoods, known for its rich history and vibrant community spirit. While it's famous for the Dragon Playground and amazing hawker food, it's also becoming a hub for creative expression. Our workshops tap into that "Heartland" energy, bringing modern street art culture right to your doorstep. We love setting up near local landmarks where the contrast between heritage and modern art creates a fantastic atmosphere for inspiration.

🎨 Fun fact: Toa Payoh means "Big Swamp" in Hokkien, but today, the only thing "swamping" this town is the incredible creativity of our young local artists during the holidays!

If you're looking for more fun across the island, check out our sessions in Singapore City, Jurong East, Tampines, or Woodlands.
