Do the students need any prior drawing or painting skills?

No prior art experience is needed! Our Jaipur graffiti workshops are designed for beginners. Our professional artists guide students through every step, from basic spray can handling to advanced layering techniques. We focus on 'learning by doing,' ensuring that every student, regardless of their artistic background, feels confident and leaves with a sense of pride in their creative contribution. It is all about having fun and trying something new!

Is the spray paint safe for school-aged children?

Safety is our top priority in the Pink City. We provide high-quality protective gear, including masks, gloves, and overalls. We typically use low-pressure spray cans which are easier to control and emit fewer fumes. Furthermore, our workshops are held in well-ventilated outdoor spaces or large halls to ensure a safe environment for all students and faculty members involved in the creative process.

How long does a typical school workshop last?

While we offer various options, our 2 to 2.5-hour session is the most popular for schools in Jaipur. This timeframe allows for a solid balance between the introductory safety briefing, creative brainstorming, individual skill practice, and the final production of a large-scale collaborative mural. We can also adapt the session length to fit within your school’s specific timetable or event schedule.

Can you host the workshop at our school campus?

We are very flexible! We can bring the workshop directly to your school premises in Jaipur if you have a suitable outdoor wall or a well-ventilated space. Alternatively, we can host the group at one of our partner creative spots. If we work at your school, we take full responsibility for floor protection and ensuring the area remains clean after our artistic explosion is finished.

Can we choose a specific theme for the mural?

Absolutely! Graffiti is a fantastic medium for exploring social themes, history, or literature. Many Jaipur schools ask us to focus on topics like environmental conservation, Indian heritage, or school values like 'unity in diversity.' We work closely with teachers to ensure the workshop supports your educational objectives while giving students the freedom to express themselves through street art techniques.

What are the costs involved for a school group?

Our pricing for school workshops in Jaipur generally ranges from ₹2000 to ₹5000 per student. This variation depends on the total number of participants, the duration of the session, and the amount of materials required. We offer special discounted rates for larger school groups and non-profit educational institutions. Contact us for a precise quote tailored to your school's budget and needs.

What happens if we need to cancel or change the date?

We understand that school plans can change. That is why Graffitifun offers a friendly booking policy where no upfront payment is required—you pay after the workshop is successfully completed. We also have a standby team of professional artists ready to step in, so you never have to worry about a cancellation on our end. Your creative day in Jaipur is in safe hands!

Step by step

Intro & inspiration: We start with a brief history of street art and its evolution from the streets to the galleries of the world. ✨
Safety first: Students suit up in protective gear and learn how to handle spray cans responsibly and safely.
The tag creator: Using our digital mindset, students brainstorm their "artist name" and sketch out initial concepts.
Mastering the nozzle: Our pros demonstrate different spray techniques, from thin lines to wide "fat cap" fills. 🎨
Practice run: Everyone gets a chance to test their skills on practice boards before moving to the main project.
Collaborative mural: The group works together on a large-scale masterpiece, applying their new skills to a shared vision. 🔥
The big reveal: We step back to admire the collective work, snap group photos, and discuss the creative journey.
Wrap up: Our team handles all the cleanup, leaving your school campus as clean as we found it (except for the amazing art!).

Local culture

Jaipur, the "Pink City," is world-renowned for its stunning architecture and traditional frescoes, but there is a growing modern street art scene emerging in its vibrant lanes. Our workshops bridge the gap between Jaipur’s rich artistic heritage and modern urban expression. We often take inspiration from the intricate patterns found in Hawa Mahal or the bold colours of the local bazaars, encouraging students to blend traditional motifs with contemporary graffiti styles. 🏰

Fun Fact: Did you know that the traditional "Arayish" plaster technique used in Jaipur's historic buildings is a precursor to modern murals? We love showing students how today's spray cans are just the latest tool in a long line of Indian artistic innovation! 🇮🇳
