Is the graffiti workshop safe for school students?

Absolutely! At Graffitifun, safety is our top priority. We use high-quality spray cans and provide all necessary protective gear, including masks and gloves. Our professional artists are experienced in working with school-aged children and maintain a strictly supervised environment. We also ensure the workshop takes place in a well-ventilated area so everyone can focus on having a blast while staying completely safe.

Where in Mar del Plata do the workshops take place?

We are very flexible! We can host the workshop at your school premises (outdoors or in a well-ventilated hall) if you have a suitable wall or we can bring our own mobile plastic walls. Alternatively, we can help arrange a location at one of Mar del Plata's vibrant local spots. We bring all the necessary ground protection to ensure we leave the site exactly as we found it.

How long does a typical school session last?

Our school workshops usually last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives students enough time to learn the basic techniques, practice their 'tagging' and 'throwing' styles, and then collaborate on a final masterpiece. If you have a specific school timetable to stick to, we can easily adapt the duration to fit your morning or afternoon sessions perfectly.

What is the minimum and maximum group size?

For school groups in Mar del Plata, we recommend a minimum of 10 participants, but we can accommodate very large groups of up to 100+ students by bringing in multiple professional artists. We split larger classes into smaller teams so everyone gets hands-on time with the cans and personal guidance from our experts. No one gets left out of the creative process!

Do students need any prior art experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. We start with the basics of how to hold a spray can and control the pressure. Our artists guide the students through every step, from sketching their ideas to adding the final highlights. It is amazing to see how quickly students gain confidence and produce something they are truly proud of.

What should students wear to the workshop?

We suggest students wear comfortable 'old' clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a little bit of paint on. While we provide protective overalls and gloves, graffiti can sometimes be a bit messy when the creativity starts flowing! Mar del Plata can be breezy, so if we are working outside near the coast, a light jacket is also a good idea.

Do we need to pay in advance?

We believe in trust and flexibility. You don't need to make any upfront payment to secure your booking. You can pay after the workshop has been successfully completed and everyone is happy with the results. We accept various payment methods and will provide a clear invoice for your school's administration. It’s all about making the process as stress-free as possible for teachers.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your school in Mar del Plata? It’s more than just spraying paint; it's about building confidence and community. Here’s why we are the top choice for 'La Feliz' schools:

💪 Boosts Confidence: Even students who don't think they are "artistic" find their voice with a spray can in their hand.
🤝 Team Building: Many of our projects involve creating a giant collective mural where every student's contribution matters.
🍎 Curriculum Friendly: We can tailor the workshop to cover specific themes like history, social issues, or environmental awareness.
🔥 Engaging for All: It’s a high-energy activity that captivates even the hardest-to-reach students.
🏆 Professional Artists: Our instructors aren't just teachers; they are active street artists who live and breathe the culture.
🚀 Zero Stress: We handle everything from setup to cleanup—teachers can just relax and enjoy the process!

Step by step

Introduction & Safety: We start with a brief history of street art and a vital safety demonstration on how to use the equipment properly.
Mastering the Can: Students learn 'can control'—practising lines, dots, and fades to get a feel for the spray.
Sketching the Vision: Pupils grab paper and pens to sketch out their ideas, focusing on letter structure and 'flow'.
Wall Preparation: We set up the workspace, whether it's a real wall or our professional mobile foil walls.
Outlining: The real fun begins! Students take to the wall to outline their designs under the guidance of our artists.
Filling & Shading: We teach techniques for filling in colours and adding 3D effects to make the art pop.
The Outline & Highlights: Adding the final 'cut-back' lines and white highlights to give the piece a professional finish.
Clean Up & Gallery: We tidy up the area and take a moment to admire the collective masterpiece and snap some group photos! ✨

Local culture

Mar del Plata isn't just about the iconic sea lions and beautiful beaches; it has a growing heartbeat of urban culture! From the hidden murals in the residential streets to the vibrant displays near the port, the city is a canvas waiting to be explored. Our workshops tap into this local 'Marplatense' energy, encouraging students to draw inspiration from the Atlantic waves and the city’s unique architecture.

Fun Fact: Mar del Plata is home to some incredible large-scale murals that celebrate local heritage—look out for the art near the Rambla which often features themes of the sea and local legends! 🌊

We love working in this city because the students here have a natural flair for the bold and the beautiful. Whether we are setting up at a school in Los Troncos or near the Pharos, we bring the same high energy that Mar del Plata is famous for.
