Local culture

Street art in Tshikapa

Tshikapa is a city defined by its incredible energy and its location at the confluence of the Tshikapa and Kasai rivers. This spirit of 'confluence' is exactly what we bring to our workshops—merging traditional Congolese creativity with modern street art techniques. As the city continues to grow as a hub of trade and culture, public art plays a vital role in telling the story of its people.

Fun Fact: Tshikapa is world-famous for its diamonds, but we think the real 'gems' are the local artists who bring colour to the city's walls!

Our workshops respect the local environment, and we always aim to leave our workshop sites more beautiful than we found them, contributing to the burgeoning arts scene in the region alongside our friends in Kinshasa and Kananga.
