Boosts confidence: Seeing a giant mural come to life gives students a massive sense of achievement and pride. 💪
Encourages teamwork: Our collaborative murals require kids to communicate, share space, and work together towards a common goal. 🤝
Safe & supervised: We use high-quality safety gear and professional-grade, low-toxicity paints suitable for younger ages. 🛡️
Authentic experience: Led by real street artists, students get an insider's look into the culture and techniques of graffiti art. 🎤
Stress-free for teachers: We handle the setup, the instruction, and the entire cleanup—you just bring the students! ☕
Pay afterwards: We believe in our service so much that you don't pay a cent until the workshop is over and you're 100% happy. 🏆

How it works

Intro and demo: Our pro artists kick things off with a high-energy demo, showing the kids what's possible with a spray can! ✨
Safety first: Every student gets suited up in protective gear and learns the 'golden rules' of using spray cans safely. 🛡️
Can control: Students start by practicing lines, dots, and simple shapes to get a feel for the pressure and flow of the paint.
Sketching ideas: We help the kids brainstorm a theme or a 'tag' that represents their class or school values. 🎨
The big spray: It’s go-time! Students move to the main surface to start filling in the outlines of their collaborative masterpiece. 🔥
Adding the tech: Our artists teach 'cutting' and 'shadowing' techniques to make the graffiti pop and look 3D.
Final touches: We add highlight effects and clean up the edges to ensure the final result looks totally professional.
Photo op: We finish with a grand reveal and a group photo session in front of the new artwork. 📸
Clean up: We handle all the pack-down, leaving your school grounds exactly as we found them (except for the awesome art!).

Frequently asked questions

Is the graffiti workshop safe for primary school children?

Absolutely! At Graffitifun, safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality respiratory masks, gloves, and protective suits for every primary school student in Ljubljana. Our professional artists are trained to supervise young children, ensuring they use the spray cans correctly and safely. We also use low-odour paints whenever possible and conduct workshops in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially set-up indoor spaces to keep everyone breathing easy while they create.

How long does a typical workshop session last?

A standard primary school workshop in Ljubljana typically lasts between 90 minutes and 2 hours. This timeframe is perfect for keeping 7 to 12-year-olds engaged without them losing focus. We start with a high-energy demonstration and safety briefing, followed by practice sessions, and finish with the creation of a final masterpiece. If you have a specific schedule to meet, we can easily adapt the duration to fit your school's timetable!

Do we need to provide any materials or equipment?

We bring everything! Your school doesn't need to provide any art supplies. We supply all the professional-grade spray cans in a rainbow of colours, protective gear (suits, masks, and gloves), and the surfaces to paint on—whether that's large plastic foils, wooden panels, or individual canvases. All we need from you is a suitable outdoor space or a well-ventilated hall, and a group of excited students ready to dive into the world of street art.

What is the maximum group size for a school session?

The more the merrier! We are very experienced in handling large groups of primary school students. To ensure everyone gets enough attention and guidance, we bring along additional professional artists (backup artists) for larger classes. Typically, we work with groups of 15 to 30 per artist, but we can easily accommodate multiple classes simultaneously by staggering the starts or setting up different 'spray zones' across your school grounds in Ljubljana.

Do the children need to have prior drawing or art skills?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for complete beginners. Our artists are fantastic at breaking down complex techniques into simple, fun steps that any primary schooler can follow. We focus on 'controlled spraying' and simple shapes first, building up their confidence until they are ready to contribute to a larger piece. It’s all about the experience, the process, and having a blast with colours, rather than being a 'perfect' artist from day one.

What happens if it rains on the day of the workshop?

Ljubljana weather can be unpredictable, but we’ve got you covered. If the forecast looks rainy, we can usually move the workshop to a covered outdoor area or a large, well-ventilated indoor space like a gym or warehouse. Because we have a large team of backup artists, we are very flexible with our scheduling. We’ll always communicate with you 24-48 hours before the event to confirm the best plan based on the local weather report.

Can you accommodate students with special educational needs?

Diversity and inclusion are core to what we do. At Graffitifun, we make sure our workshops are accessible to everyone. The physical act of spraying is quite low-impact, and we can adjust the height of the 'canvases' to suit students in wheelchairs or those with different physical needs. We also use visual aids and hands-on demonstrations to help students with various learning styles feel fully included and successful in their creative journey.
