Frequently asked questions

Is the graffiti workshop safe for school-aged children?

Absolutely! At Graffitifun, safety is our top priority. We provide all participants in Miskolc with high-quality protective gear, including gloves, masks, and overalls. Our professional spray paints are low-odour and user-friendly. Our instructors are experienced in managing large school groups and provide clear safety briefings before any paint is sprayed, ensuring a secure and controlled environment for every student to express their creativity.

Where in Miskolc do the school workshops take place?

We are incredibly flexible! We can host the workshop at your school premises in Miskolc if you have a suitable outdoor area or a well-ventilated indoor space. Alternatively, we can arrange for the group to meet at a legal street art spot in the city. Many schools prefer the convenience of us coming to them, as it saves on transport logistics and keep the students in a familiar environment.

How long does a typical school session last?

A standard educational workshop usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This timeframe is perfect for a deep dive into street art history, a demonstration of techniques, and plenty of hands-on painting time. We can easily adapt the duration to fit into your specific school timetable or double-period slots. Just let us know your schedule, and we will make it work seamlessly!

What is the minimum age for students to participate?

We believe street art is for everyone! Our workshops are generally suitable for students aged 8 and up. For younger children, we focus more on simple shapes and safety, while older students can tackle more complex techniques like shading and 3D effects. We tailor the complexity of the lesson to the age and skill level of the specific class we are teaching.

Do we need to provide any materials or equipment?

Graffitifun provides everything! Your school doesn't need to worry about a thing. We bring the professional spray cans, caps, protective clothing, masks, and the "canvas" (which might be large wooden panels or plastic film). We also handle the full setup and thorough cleanup afterwards. Students just need to bring their enthusiasm and wear clothes they don't mind getting a tiny bit of dust on!

Do students need prior artistic experience?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. We start with the very basics: how to hold the can, how to control pressure, and how to create clean lines. Our artist-trainers provide step-by-step guidance. You'll be amazed at how quickly students go from never holding a spray can to creating a vibrant, cohesive piece of art they can be proud of.

Can the students work together on a single large mural?

Yes, we love team projects! We often suggest a format where the class works together on one large mural that represents the school's values or a specific theme. This encourages communication and collective problem-solving. Alternatively, students can work in smaller groups on individual panels. We can discuss which format best suits your educational goals during the booking process.
