Do I need prior graffiti experience to join the teacher training?

Absolutely not! This training is designed for educators of all skill levels. Whether you are a seasoned fine arts teacher or someone who can barely draw a stick figure, our professional artists will guide you through the technical aspects of spray painting. We focus on teaching you the pedagogy of street art so you can confidently lead a classroom, regardless of your personal artistic background. It is all about the process!

How do you handle health and safety in a classroom environment?

Safety is our absolute priority, especially in a school setting. During the workshop in Miskolc, we cover everything from proper mask usage and ventilation to choosing low-odour, non-toxic paints suitable for younger students. We will teach you how to set up a safe outdoor or indoor 'spray zone' and how to manage a group of students with spray cans to ensure everyone stays safe while having a blast.

What materials are included in the training session?

We bring everything! Your booking includes high-quality spray cans in a rainbow of colours, various nozzle types (caps), protective clothing, gloves, and professional-grade masks. We also provide the canvases or practice surfaces. You just need to show up in clothes you don't mind getting a little dusty and bring plenty of enthusiasm. We handle the setup and the messy cleanup afterwards!

How long does the training last?

Standard professional development sessions for teachers usually last between 2 and 3 hours. This provides enough time for the theoretical intro, technical practice, and creating a final collaborative piece. However, we are flexible! If your school or faculty has a specific schedule in Miskolc, we can condense the session or expand it into a full-day masterclass. Just let us know what fits your timetable best.

Can this be integrated into other subjects besides Art & Design?

Yes! Graffiti and street art are fantastic tools for teaching more than just 'art'. We can show you how to link spray painting to history (the evolution of subcultures), chemistry (pigments and pressure), maths (scaling and symmetry), and social studies (community and public space). It is a brilliant way to engage students who might struggle with traditional academic subjects by using a medium they find culturally relevant.

What if I am not satisfied with the training?

We are so confident you will love the energy and skills gained from our session that we offer a 100% satisfaction focus. Our goal is to empower you to be the 'cool teacher' who brings something fresh to the curriculum. If for any reason you feel the training didn't meet your professional goals, we will work with you to make it right. Fun and inspiration are guaranteed!

The experience

Why choose our graffiti training for your professional development in Miskolc? It’s more than just a painting class—it’s a career-booster that bridges the gap between traditional art and modern youth culture. 🏆

Authentic expertise: Forget YouTube tutorials; learn directly from active graffiti artists who live the culture.
Engagement goldmine: Discover how to reach "hard-to-engage" students using a medium they actually find cool.
Stress-free setup: We show you exactly how to manage the mess and the "chaos" so you can focus on teaching.
No payment upfront: We believe in our quality—you only pay after the workshop is complete.
Backup guaranteed: With our network of artists, your training will never be cancelled due to illness. 💪
Interdisciplinary potential: Learn how to link street art to history, social issues, and technical design.

Step by step

Introduction & culture: We start with a brief dive into the rich history of street art, moving from 'vandalism' to a respected global art form.
Safety briefing: Learn the essentials of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and how to manage a group of students in a high-energy environment.
The gear: Get hands-on with different spray cans, pressure types, and 'caps' (nozzles) to understand how they create different effects.
Basic techniques: Master the 'can-control' basics: lines, dots, fades, and fills. These are the building blocks you'll teach your students.
Lettering & styles: Explore different graffiti fonts, from simple 'throw-ups' to more complex 3D block letters and wildstyle.
Stencil making: Learn how to create reusable stencils, a perfect technique for shorter lessons or less confident students.
Educational integration: We discuss how to structure a graffiti lesson plan, including timing, cleanup, and grading criteria.
The final masterpiece: Apply your new skills on a large canvas or wall, experiencing the creative flow your students will feel.
Debrief & resources: Wrap up with a Q&A session and receive advice on where to source the best professional materials for your school.

Local culture

Miskolc has a gritty, industrial soul that provides the perfect backdrop for street art. From the historic Avias kilátó overlooking the city to the creative hubs popping up in Diósgyőr, the city is ripe for a mural revolution. We love the local energy here—a mix of old-world Hungarian charm and a bold, modern edge. It’s a city that understands the power of transformation, just like a grey wall turning into a masterpiece. ✨

Fun fact: Did you know Miskolc is home to one of Hungary's most vibrant alternative scenes? The city’s history with heavy industry has left behind unique architectural spaces that are increasingly being eyed by local artists as potential 'legal walls' for public expression!
