Do I need previous experience with graffiti to join the training?

Absolutely not! Our art teacher training in Székesfehérvár is designed for educators of all skill levels. Whether you are a seasoned painter or someone who hasn't picked up a spray can before, our professional artists will guide you through the basics. The goal is to give you the confidence to teach these techniques to your pupils, focusing on safety and creative expression rather than 'perfect' mastery. We make sure everyone leaves feeling like a pro.

What materials are provided during the teacher training session?

We provide everything you need for the workshop. This includes high-quality spray paint, various nozzles (caps), protective gloves, masks, and coveralls to keep your clothes clean. We also provide the canvases or surfaces you'll be working on. You just need to show up in comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a little bit of dust on. We believe in a hassle-free experience for our busy teachers!

Is spray painting safe for a school environment?

Safety is our absolute priority, especially when we are training you to work with students. We use low-pressure spray cans which are easier to control and provide high-quality FFP2 masks to ensure no fumes are inhaled. We also cover the legal aspects of street art to ensure you can teach your students the difference between commissioned murals and illegal vandalism. You will leave with a clear safety protocol for your own classroom.

How long does the training typically last?

Our standard professional development sessions in Székesfehérvár typically last between 2.5 to 4 hours. This allows enough time for the theoretical introduction, safety briefing, hands-on practice, and the creation of a final piece. However, we can easily customise the duration to fit into your school's 'inset' day or professional development schedule. Just let us know what works best for your team's timing and goals.

How can I integrate graffiti art into my existing art curriculum?

Our graffiti training is highly versatile and fits perfectly into the National Curriculum. It covers elements of modern art history, colour theory, typography, and community projects. It’s also a fantastic way to engage students who might struggle with traditional fine art methods. Many teachers find that graffiti workshops help improve student's focus and provide a sense of ownership over their school environment. It's a great tool for social-emotional learning too.

What is the minimum and maximum group size for a training session?

We generally recommend a minimum group size of 5-10 teachers to ensure a collaborative atmosphere, but we can accommodate much larger staff groups as well. For very large schools, we bring in multiple professional artists to ensure everyone gets individual attention. If you are a solo teacher looking for training, get in touch – we often host open sessions where educators from different schools in Székesfehérvár can network and learn together.

Do I need to pay upfront for the school staff training?

We understand that school budgets and schedules can be complex, so we offer full flexibility. You don't need to pay anything upfront when you reserve a date. Payment is only required after the workshop is successfully completed. This ensures you are 100% satisfied with the experience before any funds are transferred. We can provide all the necessary invoicing and documentation required by your school’s finance department.

Local culture

Székesfehérvár, the "City of Kings," is a place where history meets modern ambition. While it's famous for its medieval ruins and the stunning Bory Castle, there is a growing appreciation for contemporary urban expressions within its streets. By bringing graffiti training to the teachers of Székesfehérvár, we are helping to bridge the gap between Hungary's royal past and its vibrant, creative future. It's about giving local students a voice through a medium that speaks their language. 🏰

Fun fact: Did you know that some of Székesfehérvár’s industrial areas have become unofficial galleries for local street artists? The contrast between the historic old town and these modern canvases makes the city a unique backdrop for art educators to explore the "old vs. new" dialogue with their students!
