How long does a typical youth graffiti workshop last?

Most of our youth projects in Szekesfehervar take between 2 and 3 hours. This gives the group enough time to learn the basic techniques, practice their 'can control', and execute a large-scale piece of art. If you have a specific schedule or a shorter window, just let us know! We are experts at tailoring the pace to keep everyone involved and excited throughout the entire session.

Is it safe for teenagers and young people to use spray paint?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality FFP2 respiratory masks, disposable gloves, and protective suits to all participants. Our professional instructors give a comprehensive safety briefing before anyone touches a spray can. We use low-pressure paints where possible to ensure a controlled environment. In Szekesfehervar, we always choose well-ventilated outdoor spots or suitable indoor spaces to ensure a healthy and fun experience for everyone involved.

Do the participants need any prior art experience?

Absolutely! In fact, most of our participants have never touched a spray can before. Our artists are trained to teach absolute beginners. We start with the very basics—how to hold the can, how to vary line thickness, and how to layer colours. By the end of the session, the youth group will be amazed at what they've managed to create together. It's all about building confidence through creativity!

What is the minimum age for the youth project workshops?

We generally recommend our youth projects for ages 10 and up. At this age, they have the physical strength to press the spray nozzles and the focus to follow safety instructions. However, we can adapt our workshops for slightly younger groups using water-based markers or stencils if needed. It’s a fantastic way to engage teens and pre-teens in a culture they usually only see from a distance.

What materials are included in the workshop package?

We provide everything you need! This includes a wide variety of professional spray paint colours, caps (nozzles) for different effects, protective gear, and the 'canvas' (which could be a wall, wooden panels, or individual canvases). You just need to make sure the kids wear old clothes and shoes—even with protective suits, graffiti can be a bit messy! We handle all the setup and the cleanup afterwards.

Where in Szekesfehervar do the workshops take place?

We are very flexible! We can host the project at a dedicated street art location in Szekesfehervar, or we can bring the workshop to you. If you have a youth centre, school yard, or community space with a suitable wall or area for temporary boards, we can set up there. We’ll just need to check the dimensions and ventilation beforehand to ensure it's a perfect fit for a creative session.

Do we need to pay in advance to book a workshop?

Not at all! One of the best things about Graffitifun is our 'no cure, no pay' mentality. You don't need to pay anything upfront. We want you to feel completely confident in booking us. You only pay after the workshop has been successfully completed and everyone is happy with the result. It’s our way of guaranteeing a stress-free and fun experience for organisers and youth leaders.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your next youth initiative in Szekesfehervar? It’s more than just painting; it’s about transformation. Here is why our projects stand out:

Instant Engagement: Graffiti is naturally "cool". It grabs the attention of even the hardest-to-reach teens immediately. 🎤
Team Building: Big murals require collaboration. Participants learn to communicate, share space, and support each other's work.
Professional Mentorship: Our artists aren't just painters; they are mentors who share their passion and professional journey.
Zero Risk: With our "pay after the workshop" policy and backup artists, your event is guaranteed to go ahead without a hitch. 🏆
Safe Expression: We provide a legal, constructive outlet for urban expression, teaching the difference between art and vandalism.
Creative Confidence: Seeing a 10-metre mural they helped create gives young people a massive sense of pride. ✨

Step by step

Introduction & Safety: We start with a high-energy intro to graffiti culture and a vital safety briefing on how to use the equipment properly.
Sketching the Concept: The group works together to brainstorm themes and sketch out their ideas on paper before moving to the wall.
Can Control Practice: Everyone gets their first taste of the paint! We practice basic lines, dots, and filling techniques to get comfortable.
Outlining the Piece: Our lead artist helps the group put the main shapes and letters onto the workspace.
Filling with Colour: This is where the magic happens! The group uses a vibrant palette to fill in the designs, learning about fading and blending.
Adding Details: We teach the youth how to add 'shines', 'shadows', and '3D effects' to make their artwork pop off the surface.
The Final Outline: We tidy up the edges with a sharp contour to give the project that professional, polished street art look.
Group Photo and Celebration: We finish by admiring the masterpiece and taking group photos to celebrate the crew's hard work!

Local culture

Szekesfehervar, the historic "City of Kings", provides a stunning contrast for modern street art projects. While the city is famous for its royal ruins and the romantic Bory Castle, there is a pulse of modern energy waiting to be tapped into. Bringing a youth graffiti project here isn't just about art; it's about adding a contemporary chapter to a city with centuries of stories. We love working in the "Fehérvár" spirit, encouraging young people to see their urban environment as a canvas for positive change.

Fun Fact: Did you know Szekesfehervar was a coronation city for 37 Hungarian kings? Our workshops allow the local youth to feel like modern-day royalty by "crowning" the city's walls with their own unique designs! 👑

If you're looking for other cool activities in Hungary, we also host workshops in Budapest, Debrecen, Szeged, and Miskolc.
