Do I need any previous art experience to join?

Absolutely! Most of our guests in Sofia have never touched a spray can before. Our professional artists are expert teachers who will guide you through the basics, from how to hold the can to creating cool effects. We focus on a relaxed, fun atmosphere where there are no mistakes, only 'happy accidents.' You'll be surprised at how quickly you pick up the techniques and create something awesome!

What happens if it rains on the day of my workshop?

Sofia’s weather can be unpredictable, but we’ve got you covered. Whenever possible, we use sheltered outdoor spots or indoor alternative spaces to ensure the spray session goes ahead. If the weather is truly extreme, we offer flexible rescheduling or a full refund. We always have backup plans in place so your holiday schedule doesn't get ruined by a bit of Bulgarian rain.

Can I take my artwork home with me?

For our standard tourist workshops, we provide high-quality canvases that you can take home with you! They fit easily into most suitcases once dry. If we are working on a larger communal mural, you won't be able to take the wall home (obviously!), but you'll get plenty of high-resolution photos of your masterpiece to show off on social media.

Is the spray paint safe to use?

Safety is our top priority. We provide high-quality FFP2 or FFP3 respiratory masks, gloves, and protective overalls to keep your clothes clean. The paints we use are professional-grade but safe when handled correctly under our artists' supervision. We also choose workshop locations with plenty of ventilation to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for everyone involved.

What should I wear to the workshop?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of paint on—just in case! While we provide full-body protective suits, spray paint can be sneaky. Also, it’s best to avoid your brand-new white trainers. Sofia's street art spots can be a bit rugged, so sturdy footwear is always a good idea for the full urban experience.

How long does the experience usually take?

A standard tourist workshop usually lasts between 1.5 to 2.5 hours. This gives us enough time for a brief history of Sofia's underground scene, a demonstration of techniques, and plenty of hands-on painting time. If you’re in a larger group or want a more intensive masterclass, we can easily extend the duration to suit your schedule.
