How it works

The warm-up: We kick things off with a brief history of street art culture and an introduction to the tools of the trade.
Sketching the vision: Students grab paper and markers to brainstorm their concepts, focusing on tag styles and 'throw-ups'.
Can control 101: Before hitting the wall, you'll learn vital techniques like nozzle pressure, distancing, and how to avoid those pesky drips.
Outline and filling: Start your masterpiece! You'll sketch your design onto the wall and begin filling in the vibrant colours.
The 'cut-in' technique: Our artists show you how to refine your edges and make your letters pop against the background.
Highlighting and 3D effects: Add the finishing touches with white highlights and 3D shadows to give your piece depth and character.
The grand reveal: Step back and admire the collective work! We finish with a professional group photo session in front of your finished mural.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need any prior art experience to participate?

Absolutely not! Our university workshops in Barquisimeto are designed for everyone, from total beginners to seasoned doodlers. Our expert artists will guide you through every technique, starting with basic lines and shapes before moving on to complex lettering and shading. Most students are surprised by how quickly they pick it up! We provide all the tips and tricks you need to create something you'll be proud of.

How long does a typical university graffiti workshop last?

The duration of a university session is quite flexible. Generally, we recommend a standard workshop of 2 to 3 hours to ensure everyone gets enough time to design and paint. However, for larger campus festivals or orientation weeks, we can set up 'drop-in' stations that run all day. We tailor the schedule to fit your academic timetable or event plans perfectly.

What materials and safety gear are included?

We take care of everything! Graffitifun provides high-quality spray cans in a rainbow of colours, protective masks, gloves, and overalls to keep your clothes clean. We also provide the 'canvas'—whether that’s a temporary wooden wall, large canvases, or even a designated legal wall on campus. You just need to show up in comfortable clothes and bring your creative energy!

Is the spray paint safe for students to use?

Safety is our top priority. we use low-odour, high-quality spray paints whenever possible and provide professional-grade FFP2 or FFP3 masks for all participants. If the workshop is held indoors, we ensure the space has excellent ventilation. Our instructors are trained to manage groups safely, ensuring a fun environment where the only thing 'dangerous' is how cool your art looks!

Can the workshop be held directly on our university campus?

Definitely! We love the flexibility of university events. We can host the session outdoors on campus grounds (using mobile walls) or indoors in a well-ventilated studio or hall. If you don't have a space, we can help find a suitable gritty, urban location in Barquisimeto to give the students a truly authentic street art experience. Just let us know your preference.

Why is this a good team-building activity for students?<a>},{answer:

Graffiti is the ultimate ice-breaker. It forces students to step out of their comfort zones, communicate through visuals, and collaborate on a massive scale. For university groups, it breaks down social barriers and builds a shared sense of accomplishment. It’s a fantastic way for different faculties or year groups to bond over a high-energy, hands-on project that isn't another boring lecture!
