Do we need any previous art experience to join?

Absolutely! Our workshops are specifically designed for beginners. Most of our university participants have never touched a spray can before. Our professional artists guide you through every step, from basic nozzle control to advanced layering techniques. You’ll be amazed at how quickly you can create something that looks professional. It is all about the experience, the music, and the creative energy!

Is the spray paint safe to use?

We prioritize safety above all else. We provide high-quality FFP3 respirators, protective overalls, and gloves to ensure everyone stays clean and safe. Our high-pressure spray cans are professional grade but easy to handle. We also conduct a safety briefing at the start of every session to ensure everyone knows how to use the equipment responsibly in the Amsterdam studio environment.

How long does a typical session last?

The standard university workshop lasts about 2 hours, which is the perfect 'sweet spot' for learning and creating without getting tired. However, we can also offer express 1.5-hour sessions for busy student societies or extended 3-hour 'masterclasses' if you want to dive deeper into complex mural techniques. Just let us know your schedule, and we will make it work!

What is the maximum group size for a university event?

We can accommodate everything from small student committees of 10 people to large faculty-wide events for hundreds of students. For very large groups, we often set up multiple stations with several artists or create a 'walk-in' graffiti wall where students can contribute throughout the day. It's a great way to build a sense of community across the campus.

What happens if it rains during our outdoor workshop?

Amsterdam weather can be unpredictable, but we have you covered. We have access to several incredible indoor 'hall of fame' locations and urban studio spaces where we can spray year-round. If you prefer an outdoor event at your campus, we can bring mobile graffiti walls and gazebos. We always have a backup plan so your event goes ahead rain or shine!

Can we choose our own theme or design??

Definitely! Many student associations choose a theme that represents their faculty or club. Whether you want to spray your logo, a specific message, or a collaborative mural that represents your university life in Amsterdam, our artists will help you sketch it out. It’s a fantastic way to create a lasting piece of art for your common room or clubhouse.

Is there an upfront payment required for booking?

We understand that student budgets and university admin can be tricky. That’s why we offer a 'pay after the workshop' policy. You don't need to worry about upfront costs or deposits. Simply book your date, enjoy the creative chaos with your mates, and we will handle the admin and invoicing after you've had a blast. It’s totally stress-free booking!

Why choose a graffiti session for your next university outing? It's more than just painting; it's about building connections and expressing your group's unique identity. 🔥

Step by step

Introduction & Safety: Meet our pros and get geared up with masks, gloves, and overalls.
The Basics: Learn how to handle the spray can, control pressure, and swap nozzles for different effects.
Sketching Your Vision: Grab some caps and outline your design on the canvas or wall using light 'phantom' lines.
Filling In: Master the art of the 'fill-in' — learning how to apply solid blocks of colour smoothly.
The Power of the Outline: This is where the magic happens! Re-outline your piece to make the design pop.
Styling & Details: Add highlights, shadows, and 'flair' to give your graffiti that professional urban look.
The Final Reveal: Stand back with your group and admire the massive collaborative mural you've created together.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Amsterdam is a global mecca for street art, from the iconic NDSM Wharf in the North to the hidden gems in the Jordaan. Our workshops tap into this rich heritage, giving you a taste of the same walls that have hosted legendary international writers. We celebrate the city’s 'vrijheid' (freedom) through every spray of the can.

🎨 Fun Fact: The NDSM-werf in Amsterdam is one of the largest legal 'Hall of Fame' graffiti spots in Europe, where the art changes almost every single day!
