The experience
Why choose a Graffitifun workshop for your Darwin after-school program? It's more than just a bit of paint; it's a game-changing experience for the kids!
- 🔥 Unmatched engagement: Let's be real—nothing beats the excitement of using a spray can for the first time. It keeps even the most restless kids focused!
- 🎨 Confidence boost: Seeing a massive piece of art come together gives students an incredible sense of achievement and pride.
- 🤝 Teamwork in action: Our collaborative murals require communication and planning, teaching kids how to work together toward a massive goal.
- 🛡️ Safety first: We handle all the "scary" stuff. We're pros at managing groups and ensuring everyone stays safe and clean.
- 🌟 Zero stress for you: We bring everything, set it all up, and clean it all up. You just provide the space and the kids, and we do the rest!

Step by step
- Intro and safety chat: We start with a high-energy intro and a quick rundown on how to use the gear safely and respectfully.
- The tag creator: Students learn the history of 'tags' and use our techniques to design their own unique street art alias.
- Can control basics: Our pros demonstrate how to hold the can, swap nozzles (caps), and manage pressure for different line widths.
- Sketching the masterpiece: We move to the big boards where everyone sketches out their main design using 'ghost lines'.
- Filling in the colour: This is where the magic happens! Kids learn how to fill large areas smoothly and create cool gradients.
- Outlining and details: We teach the trick to 'cutting' sharp edges and adding those final pops of detail that make the art stand out.
- Character and flair: Students add bubbles, shines, or background patterns to give their work that authentic street vibe.
- The final reveal: We step back for a group photo session with the finished wall—perfect for the school newsletter!
- Pack up and clean up: We handle all the messy bits, leaving the site exactly as we found it (except for the awesome art, of course).
Good to know
- Duration: Usually 1.5 to 2 hours (customisable to suit your school bell!). ⏱️
- Group size: We cater to everything from small groups of 10 to large cohorts of 60+.
- What's included: Professional spray cans, premium caps, masks, gloves, overalls, and high-quality boards/canvases. 👕
- Location: We come to you! We can set up in school courtyards, sports fields, or local community centres.
- Safety: Full public liability insurance, risk assessments provided, and all artists hold valid Working with Children Checks (Ochre Cards). ✅

Local culture
Street art in Darwin
Darwin might be famous for its incredible sunsets and crocs, but its street art scene is absolutely kicking! From the world-class murals of the Darwin Street Art Festival that decorate the CBD to the hidden gems in the Northern Suburbs, the city is a tropical canvas. Our workshops tap into this local 'Territory' spirit—bold, adventurous, and unique.
We love including local Darwin motifs in our workshops, from magpie geese designs to tropical floral patterns, ensuring the kids feel a real connection to their home city while they spray.
Pricing
We believe in transparent, fair pricing for our Darwin workshops. Our rates generally range from A$40 to A$90 per person.
The final price depends on a few factors like the number of participants, the amount of paint required, and whether you want individual canvases for the kids to take home or one giant collaborative mural. The best part? No upfront payment is required—we only invoice you once the workshop is done and everyone is stoked with the result!
