What materials are included in the charity graffiti workshop?

We provide everything you need to create a masterpiece in Darwin! This includes high-quality spray paint in a huge range of colours, protective gear like masks and gloves to keep you clean, and canvases or boards for the final artwork. Our expert artists bring all the gear to your location, so you just need to bring your energy and focus on raising funds for your great cause. Drawing pads and markers are also provided for the initial brainstorming phase.

Is spray painting safe for all participants during a fundraiser?

Absolutely! Safety is our top priority. We use professional-grade low-pressure spray cans that are easier to control, and we provide all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE). Our sessions are led by experienced Darwin street artists who guide your group through every step, ensuring a safe, supervised, and fun environment for everyone involved. Whether you're a teenager or a senior, we make sure the experience is accessible and secure for all participants.

How long does a typical charity graffiti event last?

Our charity sessions in Darwin are totally flexible! Typically, a workshop lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for a quick history lesson, technique practice, and the creation of a final mural or individual pieces. If you're running a larger all-day festival or gala, we can adapt the schedule to include 'drop-in' sessions where people can contribute to a community mural throughout the day.

Do we need to find our own venue in Darwin for the event?

We are highly flexible! We can bring the workshop to your chosen venue in Darwin, whether it's a school oval, a community centre, or a private outdoor space. If you don't have a venue, let us know – we can often help suggest local spots that are perfect for getting creative. Ideally, we need an outdoor space or a very well-ventilated area with enough room for your group size to move around comfortably.

Do participants need prior artistic experience to join in?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Our Darwin-based artists specialise in teaching the 'basics of the can,' from making simple lines to more complex shading and 'wildstyle' lettering. We find that people who have never held a spray can before often have the most fun and produce the most surprising results. It’s all about the experience, the community spirit, and supporting your chosen charity!

How much does a graffiti charity event cost?

Pricing depends on your group size and the specific setup of your Darwin fundraiser, but it generally ranges from A$40 to A$90 per person. We aim to keep our workshops cost-effective so that more of your budget goes toward your cause. We don't require any upfront payment – you pay after the workshop is done. Unmatched Engagement: It's impossible not to get involved when you see a blank wall and a rainbow of spray cans! 🔥
Inclusive for All: From kids to grandparents, everyone can contribute to the artwork, regardless of their artistic skill.
High Visual Impact: The finished murals serve as amazing backdrops for social media, helping your fundraiser go viral and reach more donors.
Stress-Free Setup: We handle the logistics, the mess, and the teaching, so you can focus on your guests and your cause.
Unique Keepsakes: Participants can take home their own canvases, or you can auction off the final pieces to raise even more funds! 💰
Professional Guidance: Our Darwin-based artists ensure high-quality results that look amazing on camera and in person.

Step by step

First Chat & Theme: We’ll start by discussing your charity's mission and what you want to achieve with your Darwin event.
The Big Plan: Our team helps you pick a location and determines the best setup, whether it’s individual canvases or a giant collaborative mural.
Practice Makes Perfect: On the day, our pro artists demonstrate essential spray painting techniques and safety tips.
Sketching Your Vision: Participants grab markers and paper to brainstorm their ideas and 'tags' before moving to the real thing.
Let the Paint Fly: Everyone gets their hands on the cans! Under our guidance, you'll start layering colours and bringing the artwork to life. 🎨
Adding Details: We help participants refine their work with outlines, highlights, and those 'pro' finishing touches that make it pop.
The Big Reveal: We finish by showcasing the collective work, perfect for photos, social media sharing, and celebrating your fundraising success. ✨

Local culture

Darwin is a city known for its incredible street art scenes, especially during the annual Darwin Fringe and local mural festivals that decorate the CBD walls. The humid, tropical energy of the Northern Territory perfectly matches the raw, expressive nature of graffiti. Our workshops tap into this local 'Territory' spirit, encouraging participants to use bold, sun-drenched colours that reflect our unique landscape. 🌴

Fun Fact: Did you know Darwin is home to some of the most impressive large-scale murals in Australia? Many were created during the Darwin Street Art Festival, turning the city into a giant open-air gallery. Your charity event adds to this rich cultural tapestry!

Pricing

Our charity workshops are priced to be competitive, ensuring your fundraiser remains profitable for your cause. Prices generally range from A$40 to A$90 per person, depending on the number of participants and the specific logistics of your Darwin venue.

Because every charity event is unique, we provide tailored solutions to fit your budget. There are no hidden fees, and we don't ask for payment until the job is done!
