What exactly is a graffiti anti-vandalism program?

An anti-vandalism program is an educational graffiti workshop designed to redirect the urge to spray-paint into legal, creative channels. In Bydgoszcz, we teach participants about the history of street art, the difference between illegal tagging and artistic murals, and how to use spray cans responsibly. It is a proactive way to reduce property damage while fostering a sense of community pride and artistic skill development among young people and residents.

Do I need to be good at drawing to participate?

No artistic talent is required whatsoever! Our professional artists specialize in teaching beginners from scratch. We start with basic lines and shapes before moving on to more complex techniques. The goal of our sessions in Bydgoszcz is to show that anyone can create something beautiful with the right guidance. Most participants are shocked by the high quality of the artwork they produce by the end of the session.

Is the spray paint safe to use during the workshop?

Safety is our absolute priority. We provide high-quality FFP2 or FFP3 masks to protect against fumes, along with protective overalls and gloves to keep your clothes clean. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially equipped indoor spaces. Furthermore, our instructors are experienced professionals who supervise the use of spray cans at all times to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone involved.

How long does a typical session last?

Our standard anti-vandalism experiences usually last between 1.5 and 2.5 hours. This provides enough time for a comprehensive introduction to street art culture, a safety briefing, technique practice, and the completion of a final piece. If you have a larger group or a specific project in mind for a Bydgoszcz community space, we can extend the duration to fit your needs. Custom schedules are always an option.

What materials are included in the package?

Graffitifun provides everything you need for the day. This includes a wide range of premium spray paint colours, caps (nozzles) for different effects, protective gear (suits, masks, gloves), and the 'canvas' (which could be a mobile wall, cling film, or a legal city wall). All you need to bring is your enthusiasm and comfortable shoes that you don't mind getting a little bit of dust on. We handle the rest.

How do the payment and cancellation policies work?

We offer a unique 'pay after the workshop' policy and never require upfront payments for our standard Bydgoszcz sessions. This ensures you are 100% satisfied with the service before any money changes hands. If you need to cancel, we ask for as much notice as possible so we can reassign our artists. If the weather is poor, we can usually move to a sheltered location or reschedule at no extra cost.

Where in Bydgoszcz do these workshops take place?

Bydgoszcz has several designated areas where street art is encouraged, such as specific underpasses or legal mural walls. Part of our anti-vandalism program involves educating participants on where these legal spots are located. We want to ensure that after the workshop, you know exactly where you can continue to hone your skills without breaking the law or damaging private property in the city.

The experience

Why choose Graffitifun in Bydgoszcz?

We provide more than just a painting lesson; we provide a social solution that has been proven to work across Europe. Here is why our anti-vandalism program stands out:

Expert Mentorship: Our artists aren't just teachers; they are active members of the street art community who command respect and inspire change.
Social Impact: Engaging directly with the youth helps reduce illegal tagging on Bydgoszcz's cultural heritage sites.
Zero Ghosting Policy: With a large team of backup artists, we guarantee your event will happen, rain or shine.
Educational Focus: We cover the legal ramifications of vandalism while offering a legitimate, creative outlet.
Tailored Content: From schools to festivals, we adjust our message.
Turnkey Solution: We handle everything from the initial permit to the final cleanup, making it stress-free for organisers.

Step by step

Introduction to Street Culture: We start with a brief history of Bydgoszcz street art and the philosophy of legal expression vs. vandalism.
Safety & Gear: You'll get suited up in protective overalls and learn how to correctly use your professional respirator mask and gloves.
The Tools of the Trade: Our artists explain the different types of caps (nozzles) and how they control the thickness and flow of the paint.
Basic Techniques: You will practice horizontal and vertical lines, learning how to control distance and pressure to avoid 'drips'.
Sketching Your Idea: Before hitting the wall, we help you sketch out a design that promotes a positive community message.
Filling & Fading: Learn how to fill in large areas efficiently and how to create smooth colour gradients (fades).
Outlining & Highlights: This is where the magic happens; adding sharp outlines and 'power lines' to make your artwork pop.
Group Review: We take a step back as a group to admire the transformation and discuss the positive impact of the mural.
Clean Up: We ensure the site is left spotless, emphasizing that respect for the environment is part of the artist's code.

Local culture

Bydgoszcz is a city where water meets architecture, but it's also becoming a hidden gem for Polish street art. From the large-scale murals near the Opera Nova to the creative energy found in the hip districts like Londynek, the city is finding its voice through paint. Our graffiti workshops in Bydgoszcz tap into this local spirit. We often draw inspiration from the city's iconic Przechodzący przez rzekę (Man Crossing the River) or the industrial heritage of the Mill Island (Wyspa Młyńska) to show participants how local identity can be expressed through modern art. By working with local artists who know the Bydgoszcz scene inside out, we ensure that our anti-vandalism message resonates with the specific culture of the city, turning potential vandals into the next generation of muralists who respect their hometown's unique look.
