Do we need to pay for the workshop in advance?

Booking your school workshop in Bydgoszcz is completely stress-free with Graffitifun. You don't have to pay anything upfront. We value the trust of educational institutions, so we only settle the invoice after the workshop has been successfully completed and your students are happy. This ensures you get exactly what you promised without any financial risk during the planning phase.

Is the graffiti workshop safe for school students?

Safety is our absolute priority. We provide high-quality, FFP2 or FFP3 certified respiratory masks, disposable gloves, and protective suits for every student. Our workshops are held in well-ventilated outdoor areas or specially designated legal graffiti zones in Bydgoszcz. Our professional artists are trained to supervise groups and ensure that all spray cans are used responsibly and safely throughout the session.

What happens if it rains on the day of the event?

We are fully prepared for the Polish weather! If the forecast for Bydgoszcz looks rainy, we can often move the workshop to a covered outdoor location or an indoor space using specialized water-based, low-odour spray cans. Alternatively, we have a large team of backup artists and flexible scheduling, allowing us to reschedule the event to a drier day without any hassle for the school.

Do students need prior drawing or art skills?

Not at all! Our workshops are designed for absolute beginners. Our professional artists start with the basic foundations, teaching students how to hold the can, control the pressure, and create simple lines. We guide them through the process step-by-step, ensuring that even those who don't think they are 'artistic' walk away with a piece of work they are genuinely proud of.

How long does a typical Bydgoszcz school session last?

A standard school workshop typically lasts between 1.5 and 3 hours. This allows enough time for an introduction to graffiti history, safety briefings, technique practice, and the creation of the final masterpiece. We can easily adapt the duration to fit into your school's specific timetable or broaden the project for a full-day cultural event if required.

What materials are included in the school package?

We provide everything needed for a successful creative day! This includes a wide variety of premium spray paint colours, caps (nozzles) for different effects, protective gear (suits, gloves, masks), and the 'canvas' (which can be a wall, wooden panels, or individual canvases). The only thing we ask the students to bring is their enthusiasm and clothes they don't mind getting a tiny bit of dust on.

The experience

Why choose a graffiti workshop for your Bydgoszcz school? It’s an innovative way to engage students who might struggle with traditional academic subjects. Here are just a few reasons why our sessions are a hit:

Boosts Confidence: Seeing a large-scale artwork come to life gives students a massive sense of pride and accomplishment.
Encourages Teamwork: Huge murals require communication and collaboration, mirroring real-world project management.
Safe & Legal: We teach the difference between vandalism and street art, promoting respect for public spaces.
Professional Guidance: Learn directly from active graffiti artists with years of experience in the industry.
Stress-Free Planning: We handle everything from protective gear to site setup, leaving you to focus on the students.
Inclusive Activity: Graffiti doesn't require "traditional" drawing skills, making it accessible to every pupil.

Step by step

Introduction & History: We start with a brief, engaging look at the roots of graffiti culture and its evolution into modern street art.
Safety Briefing: Students are fitted with professional masks, gloves, and suits while learning how to use the equipment safely.
Basic Techniques: Our artists demonstrate 'can control' – learning how to create thin lines, fat drips, and smooth gradients.
Sketching the Concept: Students work together or individually to sketch their designs on paper before moving to the wall.
Outline & Fill: This is where the magic happens! Students start spraying their main shapes and filling them with vibrant colours.
Adding Details: We teach techniques for sharpening edges, adding 'highlights', and creating '3D effects' to make the art pop.
The Masterpiece Reveal: The group steps back to admire their collective work, perfect for a class photo and a sense of shared achievement.
Clean Up & Wrap Up: We ensure the area is tidy and hold a short reflection on what the students learned about teamwork and creativity.

Local culture

Bydgoszcz is a city that breathes a mix of industrial history and modern creativity. With the iconic 'Man Crossing the River' sculpture and the vibrant atmosphere of Mill Island, the city provides the perfect backdrop for artistic exploration. We celebrate the unique character of Bydgoszcz by encouraging students to incorporate local themes into their work, bridging the gap between Polish tradition and global urban culture. It’s a chance for Bydgoszcz students to leave their mark on their city’s thriving creative landscape in a positive, legal, and constructive way.
