Do I need prior graffiti experience to join the training?

Absolutely not! This training is designed for educators of all artistic levels. Whether you’re a seasoned fine arts teacher or someone who hasn't touched a spray can since secondary school, our professional artists will guide you through the basics. We focus on teaching you the techniques and safety protocols so you can confidently pass that knowledge on to your students. It's about creative growth, not being a gallery-ready muralist on day one!

Is spray painting safe for a school environment?

Safety is our absolute priority. We provide high-quality FFP3 masks, gloves, and protective suits to all participants. During the session, we’ll teach you how to set up a 'safe zone' for your students, how to manage paint storage, and how to ensure proper ventilation. We use professional-grade low-pressure cans that are easier for beginners to control, making the experience both safe and enjoyable for everyone involved.

How long does the teacher training session last?

Standard workshops in Bydgoszcz typically run between 2 and 3 hours. This allows enough time for the theoretical introduction, safety briefing, technique practice on plastic foil, and finally, creating a collaborative or individual piece on canvas or a board. However, we can also offer extended full-day intensive sessions if your department wants to dive deeper into specific urban art history or advanced multi-layer stencilling techniques.

Are the materials and protective gear included?

We’ve got you covered! Your booking includes everything: a wide array of premium spray cans in various colours, different nozzles (caps) for varied line widths, protective gear, and the surfaces we’ll be painting on. We also provide sketching materials for the design phase. You just need to show up in comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a tiny bit of 'creative dust' on. No hidden equipment hire fees here!

Where in Bydgoszcz do the workshops take place?

We are very flexible. We can host the training at a designated street art location in Bydgoszcz (like the legal walls near the river) to give you the full 'street' experience. Alternatively, if you have a suitable outdoor space at your school or a well-ventilated indoor hall, our artists can travel to you. We bring all the mobile walls and protective floor coverings needed to keep your premises clean and tidy.

Can I use these skills for subjects other than Art?

One of the best parts of this training is its versatility. Graffiti can be linked to Social Studies (urban culture), History (Berlin Wall art), Chemistry (pigments and aerosols), and even Maths (scaling and geometry). We provide you with a digital 'Teacher Toolkit' after the workshop, filled with lesson plan ideas and project structures that help you integrate street art across the entire school curriculum effectively.

Local culture

Bydgoszcz is a city that truly understands the power of visual storytelling. From the iconic "Peter Pan" mural on the riverbank to the striking street art scattered through the Śródmieście district, our city is an open-air gallery. We love drawing inspiration from the Brda river’s reflections and the industrial-chic vibe of the local architecture. Did you know? Bydgoszcz is home to some of the most innovative vertical gardens and murals in Poland, blending nature with urban grit. When we host our art teacher training here, we often reference these local masterpieces, helping you connect your teaching to the very streets your students walk every day. 🌊✨

Fun Fact: Bydgoszcz is famous for its "Tightrope Walker" sculpture, but its street art scene is equally gravity-defying, with murals that span entire ten-storey apartment blocks!
