Does this workshop encourage students to spray on buildings?

Absolutely not. Our Queretaro anti-vandalism program is specifically designed to teach the difference between illegal tagging and professional muralism. We focus on the etiquette of street art, respecting private property, and the dedication required to master the craft properly. By providing a legitimate outlet for creativity, we actually reduce the urge for unauthorised tagging.

What safety measures do you have in place for the session?

Safety is our priority. We provide high quality FFP2 or FFP3 masks to filter out fumes, along with protective gloves and ponchos to keep clothes clean. Our Queretaro workshops usually take place in well-ventilated outdoor areas or dedicated workshops with plenty of airflow. Our professional artists also lead a safety briefing before any cans are shaken.

Do I need to pay a deposit before the event?

We do not require any upfront payments or deposits when you book your workshop in Queretaro. We believe in the quality of our service and want you to feel confident. You only pay after the workshop is complete and you are totally satisfied with the creative results. It is a risk free way to bring art to your group.

Do we need any previous artistic experience to join?

Not at all. This program is built for beginners. Our expert street artists in Queretaro guide you through every single step, from holding the can correctly to advanced fading techniques. Whether you can already draw or have never picked up a marker, you will walk away with a piece of art you are proud of.

How long does a typical anti-vandalism session last?

The duration is flexible depending on your goals, but most of our Queretaro anti-vandalism workshops last between 1.5 and 3 hours. This allows enough time for the educational talk, technique practice, and the final creation of a large scale mural or individual canvases. We can adjust the timing to fit your specific schedule or school day.

What materials are included in the workshop package?

We handle everything. Graffitifun provides professional spray cans in a huge range of colours, caps for different line widths, protective gear, and the painting surfaces. For our Queretaro workshops, we can provide large mobile wooden walls or individual canvases. All you need to do is wear old clothes and bring your enthusiasm.

The experience

Our program is more than just a painting class: it is a transformative experience that changes how people view the urban landscape. By providing the tools and the "know-how," we turn potential vandals into budding artists. Here is why our Queretaro program stands out: 🔥

Expert Mentorship: Work alongside professional artists who have spent years perfecting their craft on the streets and in galleries.
Hands-on Education: We teach the "broken windows theory" in a way that is engaging and relatable, emphasizing community pride.
Total Creative Freedom: Once the basics are covered, your group gets to design and execute a massive, vibrant piece of art.
Risk Free Booking: You do not pay a penny until the workshop is over. We stand by the quality of our fun and educational sessions.
Mobile Setup: Whether you are in the city centre or the outskirts of Queretaro, we bring the entire studio to you!
Interactive Tools: Get access to our online Tag Creator and Workshop Quiz to get the creative juices flowing before we even meet.

Step by step

Introduction and background: We start with a chat about street art history and the impact of illegal vandalism on the Queretaro community.
Safety first: Everyone gets geared up with masks, gloves, and protective suits while we explain the golden rules of using spray cans safely.
Mastering the lines: Our pros show you how to control the pressure to create thin lines, thick fills, and smooth dots.
The tag creator: Use our digital tools or paper sketches to plan your design before you touch the wall.
Base layers and shapes: Learn how to block out your letters or characters using light colours to build a solid foundation.
Colour blending: Discover the secret to creating those iconic "fades" and gradients that make street art pop.
Outlining and details: This is where the magic happens as we add sharp outlines and highlights to make the artwork stand out.
Final review: We step back as a group to admire the collaborative mural and discuss the transformation from blank wall to art.
Clean up and wrap up: We finish by ensuring the site is tidy and discussing how to continue painting legally in the city.

Local culture

Queretaro is a city that beautifully blends its UNESCO World Heritage colonial centre with a thriving modern art scene. While the historic arches and plazas are sacred, the surrounding neighbourhoods like Hércules have become a canvas for incredible legal murals. Our workshops celebrate this balance by teaching participants to respect the "cantera" stone that defines the city while embracing the urban sprawl with vibrant colours. 🇲🇽

Fun fact: Queretaro is home to some of the most impressive urban galleries in Mexico, where local authorities and artists collaborate to turn grey walls into masterpieces that tell the story of Mexican tradition and futuristic dreams! ✨

Pricing

We believe every creative project is unique. Prices depend on your group size, the location, and the specific setup you need for your Queretaro event. We offer transparent pricing with no upfront payment required: you only pay after the session is finished and everyone is happy! 💸
