Is the graffiti workshop in Wexford safe for participants?

Absolutely! Safety is our number one priority. We provide all participants with high-quality FFP3 masks, protective gloves, and overalls to keep your clothes clean. Our professional instructors in Wexford are experts in handling spray cans safely and will supervise the group throughout the entire session to ensure everyone has a blast without any risks.

Do we need any previous art experience to join?

Not at all! Our anti-vandalism program is specifically designed for beginners. We start with the absolute basics, from how to hold the can to mastering different nozzle types. Our artists will guide you through every step, helping you create something you can be proud of, regardless of your previous artistic experience. It's all about having a go and having fun.

How does this program actually prevent vandalism?

The core goal of our anti-vandalism workshop is to teach the difference between illegal tagging and the art of muralism. By providing a legal, creative outlet and explaining the ethics of street art, we help young people and community members respect public spaces. We show them that their talent has a place in the sun, not in the shadows of a back alley.

What happens if it rains on the day of our workshop?

We’re prepared for the Irish weather! If the clouds open up over Wexford, we can often move the workshop to a covered outdoor area or an indoor space using specialized low-odour water-based paints. We always have a backup plan or a backup artist ready to go, so your creative session won't be washed away by the rain.

Where in Wexford do the workshops usually take place?

We are totally flexible! We can host the workshop at a designated street art location in Wexford, or we can bring the entire setup to you. If you have a suitable wall or space at your school, youth club, or community centre, we’ll bring the boards, cans, and gear to your doorstep. We make it as easy as possible for your group.

How long does a typical session last?

A standard anti-vandalism session usually lasts between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives us enough time for the safety briefing, a demonstration of techniques, individual practice, and the final creation of a large-scale group mural. We find this timing is the 'sweet spot' for keeping energy levels high and ensuring everyone stays fully engaged with the art.

How do I book and do I need to pay upfront?

Booking is easy and stress-free! You can reach out via our website to check availability for your preferred date in Wexford. The best part? There is no upfront payment required. You can settle the bill after the workshop is completed. We also have backup artists on standby to ensure your event always goes ahead as planned.

Local culture

Wexford has a long, proud history of creativity, from the world-renowned Opera Festival to the crafty hands of our local artisans. In recent years, the street art scene has started to bloom, adding a splash of modern colour to our medieval streets. We love working in the "Model County" because of its unique coastal light and the community's passion for storytelling. Did you know? Wexford’s narrow Viking streets provide a fantastic inspiration for urban design and perspective drawing. 🎨

Fun Fact: While Wexford is famous for its strawberries, the city's walls are becoming just as famous for their "fruity" and vibrant street art colours during local festivals! 🍓 ✨
