Do I need to be an artist to join a graffiti workshop?

You don't need a single ounce of artistic talent to have a blast at our Kimberley outdoor parties! Our professional graffiti artists are experts at breaking down the process into simple, easy-to-follow steps. We start with basic lines and shapes before moving on to cool effects. Most people are shocked by the high-quality masterpiece they walk away with at the end of the session. It’s all about the vibe and the experience!

How long does the outdoor party experience last?

Our outdoor graffiti workshops in the Northern Cape typically last between 1.5 to 3 hours. This gives your group enough time to learn the safety basics, practice your can control, and complete a full-scale graffiti piece or individual canvases. We move at a pace that keeps the energy high but ensures nobody feels rushed while they are busy getting creative with the spray cans.

What equipment is included in the workshop?

We provide everything you need to become a street art pro! This includes a wide range of premium spray paint colours, high-quality caps (nozzles), protective gloves, and masks. Depending on the setup, we also provide the boards or canvases you'll be painting on. Just bring your enthusiasm and wear clothes that you don't mind getting a little bit of paint on, just in case!

Is the spray paint safe to use?

Safety is our number one priority. We provide high-quality protective gear including gloves and respirators. Because we hold these workshops outdoors in Kimberley, there is plenty of natural ventilation. Our instructors are professional artists who will guide you on the correct and safe way to use spray paint, ensuring a fun and worry-free environment for everyone involved in the street art session.

What happens if it rains on the day of our outdoor event?

If the Kimberley weather decides not to play along, don't worry! We always have a backup plan. We can often move the workshop to a covered outdoor area or an indoor space that is well-ventilated. Alternatively, we can reschedule the session to a time when the sun is shining again. Our team stays in close contact with you to ensure your party happens regardless of the clouds.

What is the minimum and maximum group size?

We love hosting groups of all sizes! Whether you are a small group of friends celebrating a birthday or a massive corporate team-building event, we can accommodate you. For very large groups, we bring in multiple professional artists to ensure everyone gets personalized attention and a great hands-on experience. Just let us know your numbers when you request a quote!

When do I need to pay for the workshop?

At Graffitifun, we believe in keeping things stress-free. You don't need to pay anything upfront to secure your booking. You only pay after the workshop is complete and you are 100% satisfied with the experience. This "pay later" policy is part of our commitment to ensuring you have the best possible time without any financial pressure before the fun even begins!

Tagging 101: Learn how to create your own "tag" or signature – the foundation of every graffiti artist's identity.
First lines: Practice basic spray techniques, focusing on distance, pressure, and speed on your practice surface.
Sketching the piece: Our pros help you map out a larger design, whether it is a collaborative mural or an individual canvas.
Filling in: This is where the magic happens! Use a variety of vibrant colours to bring your sketch to life.
Cutting and outlining: Learn the "pro" tricks for creating sharp edges and making your art pop off the wall.
Adding flare: Use highlights and 3D effects to give your masterpiece that authentic "street" look and feel.

Creative collaboration during a graffiti company outing

Local culture

Kimberley might be famous for the Big Hole and its rich mining history, but there is a new layer of sparkling creativity hitting the streets. The "Diamond City" provides a unique, rugged backdrop for outdoor street art, blending colonial architecture with a modern South African beat. We love hosting workshops here because the Kimberley community has such a raw, untapped passion for self-expression. Writing your name in bold colours against the vast Northern Cape horizon feels different – it feels like you're adding your own story to this historic landscape. 🎨

Fun Fact: Did you know Kimberley was the first city in the Southern Hemisphere to have electric street lights? We like to think our vibrant graffiti workshops bring that same kind of "bright spark" energy to your weekend! ✨

Whether you're near the city centre or out towards the suburban gems, our outdoor sessions make the most of the Kimberley sunshine and that famous "lekker" local hospitality.

Pricing

We believe top-tier creative experiences should be accessible to everyone in Kimberley. Our pricing is transparent and designed to give you the most "bang for your buck" (or should we say, "can for your Rand").

Estimated costs: R400 - R900 per person.

Please note that final pricing depends on your group size, the specific location, and the materials required for your custom project. We don't believe in "one size fits all" – we want to build the perfect experience for you! 💎
