Is the graffiti workshop safe for children?

Absolutely! Safety is our top priority. We use high-quality spray paints and provide all necessary protective gear, including masks, gloves, and aprons. Our professional artists are experienced in working with children and provide constant supervision. We also ensure the workshop takes place in a well-ventilated area to keep everyone safe and comfortable while they create their masterpieces.

What is the minimum age for a graffiti party?

Our graffiti birthday parties are generally best suited for kids aged 6 and up. At this age, they have the motor skills to handle the spray cans effectively. For younger children, we offer slightly modified techniques to ensure they can still participate in the fun. We tailor the complexity of the art to the specific age group of your party.

Where in Kimberley can the party be held?

We are totally flexible! We can host the party at your home (as long as you have a suitable outdoor space or garage), a local park in Kimberley, or we can help you find a community venue. As long as there is enough space for the boards and some fresh air, we can make the graffiti magic happen almost anywhere!

Do the kids need to have prior drawing or painting skills?

Not at all! Our professional artists start with the basics, teaching the kids how to hold the can and create simple shapes. We guide them through every step of the process. It is amazing to see how quickly kids pick it up—by the end of the session, even those who thought they weren't 'artistic' walk away with incredible work.

What should the children wear to the workshop?

While we provide protective aprons and gloves, we always recommend that the kids wear 'old' clothes and sneakers that you don't mind getting a bit of paint on. Spray paint is permanent, and while we take every precaution, energetic young artists can sometimes be a bit messy when they are in the creative zone!

How long does a typical graffiti birthday party last?

The standard birthday workshop usually lasts between 1.5 to 2 hours. This gives us enough time for the introduction, practicing techniques, and completing the final masterpiece. If you have a very large group or want a more intensive session, we can certainly extend the duration to fit your specific party schedule.

Do the kids get to keep their artwork?

The best part is that every child gets to take their own creation home! Depending on the setup, they will either work on high-quality canvases or specially prepared boards. These make for the ultimate 'party favor'—a unique piece of street art they created themselves to hang on their bedroom wall and remember the best birthday ever.

Local culture

Kimberley, known globally as the "Diamond City," has a rich history of grit and sparkle—much like the world of street art! While the city is famous for the Big Hole, there is a growing appreciation for modern creative expression in the Northern Cape. Bringing a graffiti workshop to Kimberley adds a fresh, urban vibe to the local youth scene, blending the city's historical industrial feel with modern, colorful creativity. Whether you are hosting your party near the quiet suburbs of Hadison Park or closer to the bustling city center, we bring all the gear to you.

Fun Fact: Kimberley was the first city in the Southern Hemisphere to have electric street lights! We like to think our bright neon spray paints keep that tradition of "lighting up the city" alive in a whole new, artistic way. 💡

Pricing

Our graffiti birthday parties are competitively priced to ensure everyone in Kimberley can join the fun. Prices typically range from R400 to R900 per person, depending on the number of participants, the location, and whether you choose canvases or large wooden boards.

Because every party is unique, we want to give you the best possible deal for your specific group size. Plus, with our no upfront payment policy, you can book with total peace of mind and only pay after the workshop! 💸
